The hotel is in a great location, close to the train and underground station, and with frequent buses at the bus stop right outside the hotel.
Most of the property was clean, but my so call deluxe double room was tatty, the carpet especially stained.
The en-suite had a large frosted glass window that separated a wet room area with the main bedroom. So in the middle of the night if one person uses the en-suite and turns the light on, the whole bedroom is illuminated while another person is trying to sleep. I did not like this design.
Overall the staff were very helpful, but I did have one experience of poor service from a staff member at the reception desk; I was standing in line to be served and when it came to my turn I was ignored and by-passed, as a group of flight crew had arrived and they were immediately given their room key passes. They were definitely prioritised over myself, which I found infuriating.
On a positive note the 'happy hour' at the bar which was actually three hours between 1600-1900 was great, with all drinks half price.
