“The inn was under renovation. Nothing was communicated about the incredible inconvenience. Work materials were all over the property, inside and out. Work trucks took up all handicap spaces, dumpsters took up valuable parking spaces. Workers would be outside the inn at night drinking and smoking. As an unaccompanied woman, I did not feel safe. No breakfast was available. There were stale bread slices and undrinkable coffee amidst the dusty shelf in the lobby where renovations were taking……

“Clean room and distance from family”

“What a beautiful historical home, meticulously restored and furnished. Excellent location, safe neighborhood, easy access to restaurants. Nice bath sheets and linens including bathrobes. Lovely. We were on the third floor in room 7-Norma. If you can’t climb stairs, be sure to get a room on a lower floor. The only suggestion I have is to extend breakfast hours. Breakfast is served from 8-9. Several of us were already in the casual living room at 7 and none of us could get the coffee maker to……

“The room we were in , 113, did not have any way to darken the room. Only a thin blind so all the street lights and cars driving by with lights on shone through. It was less than ideal and made it difficult to sleep.”

“The Americaninn was comfortable, clean, and in a great location. The bed was soft and the pillows were nice. The room was very clean. Breakfast was good. The location was great as there were food sources and grocery stores nearby. The property was clean and felt safe.”

“DO NOT STAY HERE! They have random people hanging out outside the hotel people walking in and out without shirts on. It stinks. Mold on the blankets. It’s just a sketchy place. If I could give it zero stars I would.”

“The guy at the front desk was not welcoming at all. Went in to ask was a room available from a long 8hr drive. He said no. Online said 6 rooms available. I went back to my car book online and returned back into the hotel 20 minutes later and the guy looked at me crazy after I told him I have an online reservation. All he asked for was my reservation number my ID and gave me my room keys.”

“Toilet wouldn’t stop running all night. Kept randomly flushing. Got clogged each time it was used. Room smelled weird. Like someone had smoked in it and it was poorly cleaned afterwards. Front staff made it clear at check-in, “We are full tonight but if you must call me tonight, I will do what I can!” Not a good look. Thoroughly unimpressed. Won’t return. Would advise others to avoid this place.”

“The property was clean, but the second floor had a musty smell in the hallway, especially by the elevators. They did a good job of maintaining an old building. The air conditioner in the room worked, but not as well as it should have. It was humid throughout our stay. We appreciated the skywalk from the parking garage to the hotel! The breakfast had many options. One morning they ran out of coffee for awhile, although management was quick to respond to the situation.”

“We always enjoy staying at Annabelle’s while we’re in Lincoln. Cute community feel, great breakfast, free slushies or ice cream on a hot day. We’ll definitely be back!”

“It is a new hotel so it was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast was very good, a nice full hot breakfast with lots of choices, however I would have liked more fresh fruit as the only had apples and oranges. But everything else was very enjoyable.”

“Let’s start with the positives! The rooms are adorable like the pictures show! They feel cleaner than a hotel and the beds and bedding were very comfortable!!! Another huge positive was the quietness. I was in my room frequently and never felt annoyed by closing doors or people being loud! So, in those ways The Herbie was a great choice!!!! Things to consider…1. There is no one that works there. If you have a problem or a question, it is hard to solve quickly. 2. It is in a warehouse……
