What a wonderful place! Not only is the setting beautiful, but the people who work here are so helpful, kind, fun and they seem to really care about your experience here. From the pools, to the beaches, to the wildlife, to the food, everything was spectacular! So looking forward to returning!

This is a beautiful property. The best thing about the property is the staff. EVERY staff member was friendly and professional. Andres in Chao Pescao was our favorite. Breakfast was the best meal. LOVED the buffet. Dinners were good, not excellent. Billing was needlessly confusing and we caught a couple of mistakes. Should be in all dollars or all Colones.

Short, business trip in Papagayo. The rooms are neat, nice balcony views. The lightning switch on the bedrooms is an issue. They all dim instead if going on or off. Can’t turn off the bathroom light. It dims but turns on the minute you move. Can be bothersome for couple in the early morning. Beach is okay. Not their main feature. Proximity to the marina was the main attraction for me. Breakfast was great, need to make a decision with the monkeys. Can’t have them as a tourist magnet and not deal with the scares they give folks while having breakfast. Dinning restaurant had a great ambience and live music. Food was good. Some may have issues on pricing vs value but that depends on what you prioritize.

Our stay here was absolutely the best time of our entire lives. From the amazingly friendly staff to the most beautiful views we have ever seen, this place is truly a masterpiece. The food was incredible (especially the chocolate croissants at breakfast!) and there's a never ending list of resort activities. We did a mixology class, ceviche class and a barista class! We took home so much knowledge about Costa Rican history as well. There is so much wildlife on the property; our favorite being the monkeys!! We saw them everyday we were there and watched them on our balconies while drinking our morning coffee. The resort has a What's App you can text to obtain transportation from your room to anywhere on the resort as it's quite hilly. They also have a shuttle to take you anywhere else you would like to go on peninsula Papagayo. We took one to the Four Seasons golf club and then messaged them to come pick us up. They were there in 3 minutes. We booked an excursion to Guachipelin through the resort. They gave us private transportation there, which was about an hour away from the resort. Once we got there we did horseback riding, white water rafting, zip lining and hot springs/volcanic mud. They have us a delicious lunch as well. It was such an exciting day!! Overall, if you are thinking of booking at the Andaz at Peninsula Papagayo, DO IT. You will not regret it.

The hotel is fantastic! The view is wonderful! The only problem , for at least 1-2 months is they are building some new condos, and the noise goes on most of he day!

I liked the view. I did not care for the vastness of it. Felt more like condos than a resort. Felt like I was on a cruise ship. The only restaurant open for breakfast and lunch is simply awful. Cafeteria food but worse. Will not return or recommend.
