“We arrived to no one around and after walking around the property finally saw an envelope with our name on it and our key. Our room smelt moldy and damp. The carpet was dirty and the walls were peeling. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was shocking to see after such a high rating. The yard was unkempt and there was a general air of neglect about the whole place. ”

“The breakfasts were scrumptious. The beach was just below our room, with extensive views across the Cleddau estuary, with 2 swans coming in and out with the tides. The hotel staff were helpful, knowledgeable and eager to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. ”

“Excellent property, really friendly staff. Fantastic views. Found a few issues like the lights didn't work then we managed to get them working. Glass in bathroom over looked the main house and could be seen through (needs top of window screening) stuck towel over it. One one tea spoon at the breakfast table. Two chairs needed to watch TV only one provided.
Needed more flowers and generally prettying up. Could be so much nicer there.”

“The service was great, though my suggestion is that it is difficult to pair with an extended stay when you booked a short stay. The long-stay owners were extremely loud on the last day. Overall, a three-star from me, just because the service was good.”

“There is misleading information on Expedia. The hotel advertises a local cuisine breakfast included, but in reality, breakfast is a basic continental breakfast served in your room. It also advertises a super king bed, but this is actually two single beds pushed together, which was disappointing.
The food at the pub was average and did not live up to the high ratings, making us question the authenticity of some of the reviews.
