“Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.”

“Our room seemed defunct of central heating ( dated radiators not working) and was reliant on a small , portable, oil filled radiator. Beds were comfortable. Shower ‘rose’ was seemingly blocked and only provided a ‘gentle’ flow of warm water whereas the taps in the washbasin gave decidedly hot water - odd. The staff were incredibly polite and keen to please although not particularly smartly dressed. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay , plentiful, with beautiful smoked haddock and the……

“We have used properties on this site for many years. It is a perfect place from which to explore the surrounding area.”

“Our room has the best view looking out to the beautiful Gyllngvase Beach and it is just around 8 mins walk to it. Nice breakfast and staff, room is clean and have everything you need. Town centre is also within walking distance.”

“The cottage was lovely. It had no Wi-Fi or 4g signal so planning the next days agenda was impossible until you drove out of the site. Also apart from the on site bar (the staff were wonderful) there was no where to walk easily to get something to eat. ”
