Very helpful staff, they addressed most issues promptly, but there were several issues. There was no tv remote/box in the room when I arrived (they got replacements and hooked it up), one of the lamp shades was broken (replaced), but there was a very strong cigarette smell that was never addressed. However, I'm not sure they *could* do anything about it. (The hotel may have allowed smoking for years and that odor never goes away.) More importantly the place is clearly lacking in cleanliness. There were bugs in my room (esp. in the bathroom), stuff on the floor (I don't know when they vacuumed last, as there were things I kept stepping on - in the room as well as the main hallway). Plus, minor annoyance, the mini fridge didn't seem to work at all (also in a weird location) despite the control being set to the highest level. I give high marks for the friendly staff, but the place is in need of a deep cleaning.

Wonderful walkable location, decor, staff plus a great value. We enjoyed the unique local art in each room and the reading space and books on our floor, the gym was interesting space and well equipped. Nice staff and coffee and pastries in the morning. Plenty of parking on the street, we hope to return.
