A great place to stay that is out the busy town yet very close to access town. Enjoyed the location in a neighborhood which was a pleasure to walk around. Both back & front porches were peaceful to sit.

Such a charming place to stay. We did not get to try the restaurant, however, breakfast was very good. We very much enjoyed our stay. Room was very clean and staff was so friendly and helpful.

Absolutely loved this inn. It is beautiful and the history is very interesting. I rented the king suite with a jetted tub and it was extremely comfortable. The woodwork in the inn is original and very well maintained. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay. It is very closed to the water.

Staff was extremely friendly, area around hotel is adorable and the hotel itself is an amazing historical building. Right across the street from the lake. Building could definitely use some maintenance and a decorator that specializes in historical buildings, it has unimaginable potential!

My husband and I spent the weekend, and had the best experience. Our room was incredible, location is great, the staff were so friendly, the restaurant was amazing and we were able to enjoy the free bikes that were provided. We will absolutely go back!

Wonderful historic property in a beautiful setting. Dinner on the veranda was terrific. Food was excellent. They were having problems with the internet which made things difficult. The hotel is looking a bit run down. But still a very nice place to stay. No elevator, so you need to be able to climb stairs and haul your luggage up the stairs.

A very quaint Inn that has been kept its historical roots. The staff was extremely friendly especially Ms. Judy! She is awesome! Staff was helpful and able to point us in the right direction. The dedication to the historical authenticity of the Terrace Inn is amazing. The only issue is that the Inn was built in 1911….the room sizes have not changed. The bathrooms are very tiny. The rooms are not made for big guys (I am 6’1” 300 plus pounds) and had great difficulty squeezing my shoulders into the shower. We are so glad we stayed there during our visit to Petoskey. However if you are a bigger guy you need to be prepared to be uncomfortable in the bathroom.

A fun hotel with a long history. The staff was helpful and considerate. But the stay could have been better. It should be expected, of course, that an old hotel would have quirky features—thin walls, for example. But the breakfast was mediocre, to say the least, especially considering the fact that the hotel has a full kitchen. Another problem was a super slow Internet connection.

They do not clean your room unless you request it. I had the smallest room and left a lot to be desired. I felt the room was neglected and needed some improvements. TV was worthless. Nice breakfast offered.

For a very old hotel, it was wonderful! The staff was fantastic and took care of things better than we would have expected. They were all very friendly. Our waitress Maggie, took good care of us and the manager Michael got us a drink even though the bar was about to close for the night. We would definitely stay at the Terrace Inn again.
