Kailua Beach Park is located on the Windward Coast, about 13 miles (21 kilometers) northeast of Honolulu. Despite its popularity, the beach retains a relaxed feel and is a great place for families and couples looking for a quiet day at the beach.
Rent a kayak and explore the nearby offshore islands. Flat Island and the twin Mokulua Islands are bird sanctuaries. You’ll find parking behind the beach, but arrive early to make sure you get a space. Bathroom and shower facilities are provided. Kailua Beach Park is open every day of the year.
