"My first comments of the hotel were good seeing it was my very first day here and I hadn’t even slept here yet. The staff is very friendly and professional. One major issue was the smell in my room. There was obviously a leak from the air conditioner so there was a nasty smell in the carpet. When I would be out of my room for a couple of hours and come back, the smell was awful!!!! However I didn’t complain. I’m a very simple person and I do not like to complain. I didn’t like the fact that there isn’t a phone to call down to front desk. There are plenty of places for drinks, food, and also souvenir shops close by. "

"First off the food at the restaurant was delicious. But otherwise it was a very dated room. The beach was horrible. Maybe it was because it was winter, but you couldn’t walk on the sand without things poking through it into your feet as well as in the beach. It was fenced off from the beach because it was a public beach so the chairs I expected was expecting to be set up nicely with an umbrella were located inside the fence area and they were a couple on the beach with no umbrellas. I was supposed to stay there for five nights. I canceled after the first night. Also, I expected it to be much closer to San Juan and it was almost an hour away."

"The hotel was well kept but there was NO HOT WATER to shower with. We informed front desk staff and they advised us to let the shower faucet run for 10 min to allow hot water to run. We let it run 45 min and still no hot water. Also the room was freezing because you could not control the AC. There was no microwave or phone in the room to call front desk if needed. I was very disappointed."

"The place/setting is incredible. The hotel is surrounded by mountains. The pictures will never reflect the real beauty of the setting. The hotel itself has a positive ambiance of relaxation and peace. The pool area is also beautiful (I would only recommend adding heating to the water). The staff is very kind and welcoming. If you add breakfast to your reservation, the staff can bring you the breakfast outside you cabin. If you choose to have diner in the evening is also very peaceful and you will be receive good attention. The bathroom needs some updates, but I definitely recommend the place. The hotel includes a Ceiba (tree) trail that reflects the beauty of the mountains and nature. You can visit the river within a walking distance."
