The front desk was very polite and professional. However, the heater was very noisy. The mattresses were a bit worn. Furniture is very worn, especially the mattresses, they are worn out, lumpy and difficult to sleep on. Guests are given a 15% off coupon for the attached restaurant. The bed was not very comfortable & was very hard despite liking a firmer bed. Everything was very clean except the chairs were stained & gross looking. The furniture, such as the armoire the TV was in was really banged up. I was expecting more because of the super expensive prices I seen on-line. But I got the room for $46 & it was clean & safe so I was pleaded. The staff were all helpful and kind. I found all of that at the Greenwell Inn. Okay, the furniture may be a little worn in spots, but at least the original furnishings were quality, and it's been maintained pretty well. The room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk person was friendly and welcoming. I liked that it's not one of those big-box motels. It's spread out, ranch-style, and it has a measure of character. I didn't get in the pool, but it's very impressive. It's clear that the Greenwell is not just another motel, but a gathering place. It would be great for a convention, for instance. At the same time, it still has a bit of that old-style motel charm. I would have been more upset if i had actually planned on using the hot tub or pool due to access.
