"We never got to meet Monia, as she was away, but her brother, Mauro, took excellent care of us. He met us at the bottom of the hill and escorted us to the house and showed us around. He responded immediately to texts and questions, and gave us wonderful recommendations (we loved touring the olive oil mill that he takes his family's olives to). "This was a beautiful piece of property to stay at in the city of Assisi. It was in a location that was very easy to access all the major Catholic holy sites. We took the city bus line up from the train station and were within a manageable walking distance from the bus stop. There are plenty of nice restaurants and cafes near by. A major plus was having the police station just down the block, so we felt extremely safe walking around at night."

"We spent a very good three nights here. We drove, so Simone’s recommendation of the Saba Matteotti parking was helpful. It’s a 5 min walk downhill (uphill on the way back) to the apartment. He provides an Assisi local tourist card that gives you a couple of euros off the daily rate, so €12 a day. We parked in the open air because we missed the ramp down to the covered areas. "Our stay at Casamaggiore was perfect. The property was traditionally and simply styled, well supplied and met all our needs. The facilities were as advertised and we delighted in using the pool and tennis courts. The property is perfectly situated for day trips to explore the region. The balcony was our favourite spot for a glass of wine at the end of a busy day. Our stay was an absolute highlight in our exploration of Italy. Thankyou Gisella for your kind hosting."

"This was the last of three properties we stayed at in Umbria. It was everyone's favorite. We stayed there for four nights at the end of April and easily could have stayed there for a month. The town of Todi is easily accessible. Adele and family are so hospitable and are a model of how a VRBO host should be. "If you want a quiet, low key rental villa in Umbria centrally located to Assisi, Spello, Montefalco and Spoleto, this is perfect. Would be nice if there was breakfast on site or Nespresso and pastries at least. But overall, good value and would recommend. The pool is beautiful and walking through the olive groves was great."

"Luisa and Rubens were fantastic hosts, meeting us at the train on arrival and checking us in to their apartment. Communication was fantastic, they went out of their way to be helpful at all times, it was like staying with friends. The apartment is in a great location in the historic centre, accessible to public transport and walkable within the old city. There are supermarkets, cafes and lovely restaurants very close by. Perugia is a very lovely city. We stayed for eight weeks and loved it."

Instructions for use of appliances and heating system not satisfactory. yes there’s a hairdryer, but it can’t be used in the bathroom because it doesn’t fit the outlet. washing machine tries to take flight as you use it. difficult to open and close the washer door. Internet is only a little more than a suggestion."

"Even though this house was out of the way it was comfortable, spacious and provided us with a serene space after each day of sight seeing and travel in both Umbria and Tuscany. It was just what we were looking for to accomodate our family group and we enjoyed many good times.
