Apartment on Via San Rufino

The apartment is located on the mezzanine floor (7 steps) of a noble palace of the 17th century, located in the charming Via San Rufino from which the house takes its name. The apartment has been completely renovated, furnished by me and my family with taste and love, to guarantee every kind of comfort, whether you are in the city of "Francesco" for a weekend, for a holiday or for work. A delightful entrance leads to a large living room equipped with, a double sofa bed (very comfortable), a wonderful and spacious kitchen with exposed beams, which houses a large dining table, and a large sideboard with everything needed for cooking. A windowed bathroom with shower. The bedroom is located on the mezzanine floor, elegant and romantic with wooden ceiling, a large double bed and a beautiful view of the Basilica of Santa Chiara. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, radiators, flat screen televisions, free Wi-Fi. Despite being in the center, and precisely in the pedestrian area, the apartment is very quiet. In the house you will find the oven, the microwave, the refrigerator, the washing machine, the iron, the hair dryer, hair straightener, a large wardrobe, the electric coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster, sheets, crockery, linen bath (towels / bathrobes) and all that, can make you feel at home, in what we hope you can consider a cozy little gem in the heart of Assisi

Simone is an exceptional host who shares his wonderful home generously with guests. The location is incredible! Minutes from the bus stop and centrally located to all the beautiful churches in Assisi. Enjoyed an excellent meal at Nonno Ninni. Assisi is magical! Couldn’t imagine a finer property to enjoy while staying in this amazing town!

Wonderful apartment and location

Wonderfully appointed, even unexpected touches including coffee, extra linens, a bottle of wine as a welcome to Assisi. Location perfect to explore the town, several restaurants and small shops nearby and convenient to parking.

My family and I enjoyed our stay in Assisi. The apartment was well put together with a flare of Italian style. The location was close to the piazza and lots of restaurants and cafes. Simone was helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend if you are planning to visit Assisi.

A wonderful stay in the heart of Assisi

We absolutely loved our stay in San Rufino! Our host Simone was most gracious and so responsive and helpful. We loved the absolute charm of the place and enjoyed the exquisite view of St. Clare's Basilica and the view of the countryside out of our bedroom window! Many photos taken! We would definitely return to this rental if we find ourselves in Assisi again!

Wonderful stay in Assisi

This apartment was in a perfect location between the Piazza San Ruffino and Piazza Del Comune. Many great restaurants and shops close by. Comfortable and inviting with everything you need! Simone was a very attentive and gracious host who met us in the square even after many travel delays ( trains ). This was our third trip to Assisi and this was the best location yet! I would recommend it highly. Thank you for a great stay!!

Best location in Assisi

This apartment is right in the middle of where you want to be to explore Assisi. It’s right below Piazza San Rufino and right above Piazza del Comune where there are restaurants and shops. You can walk everywhere from here and also get to the bus to the train station easily within 10 minutes. Simone was a wonderful host and this apartment is comfortable and has everything you need. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Assisi.

Great location

Apartment was in a very convenient location. Host communicated efficiently and we appreciated his assistance with parking and orientation to the city. Apartment had the basic supplies, which came in handy. The kitchen is a little tight for 4 people to cook in, so we only prepared breakfasts in the apartment. Loved the slippers - Thanks Simone!

Great apartment in the perfect spot.

The apartment is great and Simone is very communicative and helpful. My wife and I were just unhappy with the cleanliness of the home. It was dusty and unkept. Aside from that, it’s in a great location right in historic Assisi which is beautiful with restaurants and places to sit down to have wine left and right.

The location itself is superb right in the center of the town but apartment is not comfortable and not clean , dusty old things maybe have their charm but not functional and take space. The bedroom on second floor but the only tiny bathroom on first. Bathroom doesn’t have space to put anything down. The living room is very small and when sofa bed is in use there is no space to walk around. The kitchen is big but who cooks in Italy? Very expensive even in off season and not worth the money.Parking next to bus station €15/day with owners discount.

Great central Assisi location

We spent a very good three nights here. We drove, so Simone’s recommendation of the Saba Matteotti parking was helpful. It’s a 5 min walk downhill (uphill on the way back) to the apartment. He provides an Assisi local tourist card that gives you a couple of euros off the daily rate, so €12 a day. We parked in the open air because we missed the ramp down to the covered areas. There are lifts from those to the centre. (We also turned 50m too early into the bus station and incurred the wrath of the local police). We appreciated the central location - a short step to the sights and many restaurants. There’s a washing machine slightly hidden in a cupboard which we used. It was clean and with a welcome surprise gift. We didn’t do any cooking but the kitchen area looked reasonably well equipped. Most of the local restaurants and small shops are closed early afternoon so bear that in mind depending on when you arrive. We stayed in March so were in the fortunate position of not needing to book any restaurants and just walking in, but would recommend doing so in peak season. The downstairs TV has an Amazon fire stick so you have Netflix, Prime etc. There’s aircon downstairs and upstairs for summer and central heating for chillier times. Simone responds quickly to contact and connected by WhatsApp a few days beforehand. Our personal view is that 2-3 days are enough as everything is close by.

The heart of Assisi

We loved the comfort of the apartment and location that was walking distance to everything. Be ready to climb a couple steps but the cappuccino machine and wine welcome made everything perfect.

Perfect location in the Heart of Assisi!

My husband and I spent six wonderful days in Assisi and throughly enjoyed Simone’s charming apartment! It is a perfect location, near great restaurants, shops, and local attractions. Bed linens, soaps and shampoos, and all other provisions were of high-quality. The kitchen is also very well equipped with everything you would need to make your meals at home.
