You can park right outside your room which made unpacking easy. Lots of restaurants close by and the beach is a quick walk away. Room was big and beds were comfortable. Very clean accommodations. "The breakfast was delicious everyday. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. I will stay again if I ever get back to California. I loved that we were very close to the shopping areas and only two blocks from the beaches. The pool is the perfect size temp and depth, and most importantly clean. The hot tub was hot and clean. I enjoyed our stay immensely. "

"I stayed here for two nights. The pros: - The room was clean. - The staff were friendly. - Melanie was able to accommodate me with an early check in. (1:30pm) - Location was great as it was close to where I needed to be and also not too far from San Diego. The cons: - no hair dryer in the room. I called the front desk on each day and they mentioned they would need to find one but unfortunately after 2 nights I still did not receive a hair dryer - the lobby area and walkways have shown its age. You can see the wear and tear on the structures and there’s certain unpleasant smells in certain areas of the hotel. - nitpicking but breakfast was simply granola bars and packaged muffins That being said, you get what you pay for and I wasn’t expecting the hotel to be perfect. The cons did not ruin the experience of traveling to San Diego/San Marcos for me. I enjoyed my stay which is why this still deserves 5 stars. "
