![After husking and grilling coconuts following amazing recipes I promised I won't disclose, we wanted some rest by the lagoon to enjoy the surroundings and incredible locals (those guys are absolutely amazing!!).

We discovered this place slightly out of town but still at walking distance where we could enjoy the lagoon with Kayaks or even walking during low tide.

We could enjoy the beaches on small islands facing the deck only inhabited by beautiful crabs.

"I had a standard room which was clean and serviced daily if you want - it was dated but functional - had everything we needed. Had a hire car which was parked out front - no problems with it apart from trying to back out when you can't see. Didn't use the laundry. Inclusive breakfast was good but not flash and you could upgrade to a cooked one if you wished. Meals at night were great that we had - big portions. Pool was clean and maintenance around the pool and bar area was great. Little short of shade in the very hot sun though. It was a great stay and would recommend it."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cooks Oasis! Although the resort is a bit difficult to find, due to signage at the street having been removed, we loved the location. We checked in on a Sunday which meant the staff was not working. No problem, they got the room ready and left us a note on their reader board as to how to access our Villa. This resort is not on the beach, but the walk down the shared driveway is very short and the beach is amazing. If you feel like doing a longer walk, it is only about 8 or 9 minute walk down the beach to Black Rock. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Rarotonga. Our favorite local hangout was around a five or 6 minute drive from Cooks Oasis. If you have the chance visit the "Shipwreck Hut" beach bar. Good food and drinks. All of the staff were incredibly friendly. The view from the bar area is spectacular."
