“Lazy Bear Lodge is a great West Shore place for summer activities; ideal for spending days at Meeks, Chambers, or heading up to float the Truckee. Kitchen had everything we needed. The front seems pretty hemmed in by the neighbors but the back of the property opens up to the woods. We got to see a bear and her two cubs roll past one evening which was exciting for the kids. At the time of our visit, there was some construction next door but I can't fault the property for that. The downstairs……

“Great home base for a long holiday weekend. The walk to the recreation center was super convenient, and most days we just enjoyed hanging out and taking in the view from the cabin. There was also free shuttle service we utilized around the resort. Close to Kings Beach one day, and many close hikes.The place itself felt genuinely gorgeous … beautifully designed, spotless, and stocked with nice touches that made it feel like more than just a place to stay. It elevated the whole trip and made it……
