While I booked no-smoking rooms the basement rooms we were given had been smoked in. They had the lingering odour of stale cigarette smoke and cleaning products. They also smelled damp and musty. The bed coverings were visibly dirty. For a basement, the windows felt unsafe. It was one night and we had arrived late, so we didn’t ask for new rooms, especially after lugging our luggage down stairs (no elevator). Breakfast was ok. We were also disappointed that despite booming in early March, we were not in adjoining rooms.
