“The VRBO itself was charming and nostalgic for a girls weekend. However, it was dirty. Cobwebs, dust, dead bugs and a coffee pot that we cleaned. It would have been helpful to know about the steep stairs on arrival. Luckily, we were all able to make stairs but if you have knee or joint issues probably skip this VRBO. The train was also an issue. The noise machines did not help our party as we heard the trains and horns at all hours. It was okay.”

“Wow! Absolutely wonderful stay! The condo was perfect and much nicer than many VRBOs we've stayed in. High end linens, dishes, furnishings, etc. very impressed by the attention to quality and cleanliness! Hosts were responsive to questions immediately and throughout our stay especially after we left some clothing. Mike graciously offered to send these items to us! The condo was so convenient to the beautiful river, National Eagle Center that my husband loved and great wings and pizza……

"Staying at the Alexander Mansion felt like stepping back in time to an era of elegance and warmth. Every piece of furniture and every lamp tells a story—but what truly made this stay unforgettable was the hospitality of the 80-something host, a former chef, who graciously prepared a beautiful and heartfelt breakfast ceremony for us. His kindness and attention to detail gave our journey a sense of home and heartfelt care. Thank you for not only providing a charming place to stay, but for making every guest feel seen, welcomed, and cherished. This will remain one of the warmest memories of my travels.
