This property is advertised as a hotel, but it is much closer to a hostel or basic apartment complex. First, the cleanliness was unacceptable. There were ants in the room and I noticed what appeared to be blood stains on the bed. The sheets also did not appear to have been changed between guests, which was extremely concerning. We were only given one towel and had to use the same towel for three days. The building itself has extremely thin walls. You can clearly hear other guests talking, using the restroom, and even intimate activity. There is essentially no privacy or sound insulation. Additionally, the water never got properly hot during my stay. There is also no elevator, which is a major issue if you have heavy luggage or any mobility limitations. Carrying 40 pounds of luggage up multiple flights of stairs was very difficult. Overall, the listing was misleading and did not match what was advertised. Between the cleanliness issues, lack of basic amenities, and noise, this was one of the worst stays I’ve experienced. Bed was horrible. 2 beds put together, which is normal in Europe but 1/2 was regular the other 1/2 was so soft, Like it had been used to 100years. Our room was ready early and very clean. Even though ghere was sliding doors there were rules in place to get a good nights sleep and ear plugs provided. Guest house is in a great lacation just a few minutes walk from the Collaseum. Only down side really was that when we asked for a room clean after 3 days of being there it seemed that only the bed was made as there was still hairs all over the floor, makeup on the towels that had been refolded and clean bed sheets left on the fridge. Dont know if this os in all rooms but the boiler was infront of our toilet so if you're over 5 foot 5 you will hit your head if you forgwt when you get up. Nice bars and small restaurants for snacks and beer very near the hotel. Excellent italian coffeeshop next door! Place is clean and all sanitary worked. Shower has good pressure and always hot water! Nice, clean little fridge. If you don't mind to get your luggage up to the 3rd floor without a lift, I can completely recommend the place! Nice friendly personell, but not always around.
