We even got in early, so that was good. The condition of the room was OK at best not nearly what I thought it would be for what I was paying when I went to use the shower. I noticed a long bunch of hair stuck to the wall from the previous renter, the street, noise and noise in the hallway from the other rooms was more than expected and prevented us from being able to sleep at night. Excellent location for visiting local attractions, but absolutely terrible for getting a good nights sleep. There was an electric coffee pot to warm up water and it didn’t work nor did the bathroom light and the room air conditioning unit was very difficult to get it to work properly. Everything in the city is at most 20mins walking distance except the Vatican. Ubers and taxis were cheap and available enough to get there though. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you... however the reception is not maned 24 hour and out of hours help can be difficult to get hold of.
