While some holiday rentals can feel sparse and functional, in contrast it is obvious that a lot of thought and care has been put into making the cottage feel like a home. "This is a lovely property. It was very peaceful and just what we wanted. Everything you need in the house is there. There are lots of small towns to visit nearby and an afternoon picnic sitting next to lake Bala was very relaxing. It is ideal for a family. I have no hesitation in recommending this property."

"We had a lovely stay. The cottage is beautiful and kept really well. There is ample parking and a café next door. There's not much more than that around without a car though, but it's very peaceful."

"The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."
