“The place would have been wonderful. BUT THIS PLACE IS NOT TRANQUIL the noise of the trucks on the r40 24/7 roaring past. It sounded like the place was next to the runway at Heathrow. They offered a lesser accommodation away from the road a bit but wanted to charge lots more. I’m sorry but this was not helpful…. Beware if you don’t mind sleeping with ear plugs THIS IS FOR YOU. “The Room was great and clean. The main fault was the inability to be able to walk out of the lodge and have the freedom to go out to the shops and town. This was because you needed to pay for transport everytime you wanted to leave as you can't walk up to the from gate (risk of being run over by a hippo). “Very nice and clean house in Kruger Parke Lodge with enough space for 5, even 6 persons. 3 bathrooms. Washing mashine and dryer worked well, at least during non-load-sheeding times. The beds were a bit inconvenient for us. Probably because of its thatched roof, the house smelled a little like a horse stable.
