"Wonderful staff of this river lodge bordering Kruger National Park. Large spacious room. Great sunrise and day safaris from their own staff. Sunset safari is run by the National Park so needs transport to Kruger Gate if you don’t have your own vehicle. Couple of things could be improved. Firstly, the wi-fi could be faster. Secondly, windows should be kept closed to prevent mosquitoes from entering rooms since it’s a malaria area. Overall, a lovely stay to see Kruger National Park and its animals. An elephant was along the river the first afternoon while a hippo was along the river on my morning departure. You’re also see animals while arriving and leaving SZK airport. "

"We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Zur Alten Mine while exploring the Panorama Route, including God’s Window and the Blyde River Canyon. The location is incredibly central, making it easy to access numerous waterfalls and nearby attractions without long drives. The accommodation was spotless and serviced daily, which made our stay feel comfortable and well looked after. A thoughtful touch was the provision of firewood, perfect for cosy evenings in front of the fireplace. We were also pleasantly surprised with a lovely Easter gift, which added a personal and memorable touch to our stay. Overall, a fantastic base for exploring the area. We would definitely return!"

"Excellent lodge would recommend. Staff great, Safaris were good the only issue i had was the evening meals were always a buffet and the selection and quality was not that good. Would have preffered a menu to choose from."
