When we arrived at 4:30 p.m. the room was not yet clean. Staff was very nice and apologized. We were impressed with the large size of the room and that it had a kitchen. Steam from the shower set off the alarm in the room. I would suggest replacing the alarms or post signs asking visitors to keep bathroom door closed during and after showering.

This is one of the most mismanaged buildings I've ever stayed in and I stay in a lot of hotels. The larkspur brand used to be a sign of cleanliness and quality these rooms are hideous outdated and don't feel very clean at all. The Halls are disgusting there was five bags of garbage by my room that look like they've been there for days and so much stains on the carpet in the Halls unsure why larkspur has abandoned any level of care of this property

Not worth the cost smoke detector was just hanging from wires from the ceiling. The breakfast that is included is just below what you would expect to get from a gas station. The tv in the room got 4 channels. Saddest part of this stay is you can get a room for half the price and get a clean room that dose not have thing falling off the walls that will have at least cable or satellite TV, and at least be honest about whether they offer breakfast or just snack food that can be bought from the gas station next door.

The property outside was good. However, upon checking in and going to my room, I was very surprised with the disgraceful level of cleanliness I found in the room. My bathroom was filthy. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned in what seemed like weeks as it was developing a dark ring around the water level. My pillows were all dirty from someone else’s makeup prior to me getting into bed. I just did not feel like it was sanitary. I’ve been to lower rated hotels and found their rooms to have cleaner rooms. Another issue I had was that there was no water to purchase. I had to drive to different stores, after 10pm, for a bottle of water. At checkout, I went and looked at the breakfast that was served that morning and it was just very disappointing, again in terms of cleanliness. The coffee station was dirty and the refrigerator with the milk for cereal looked like it was ransacked. The tables all had food and dried liquid from days prior. I’d see housekeeping personnel but none were concerned with actually cleaning. Everyone I saw was either chit chatting or on their phone. How this hotel has above a 4 star rating is mind blowing.

This property is being renovated so there’s a lot of unfinished areas all around the outside of the room. The ADA shower was the best we’d used in our six-day road trip (many other hotel ADA showers stupidlyflooded the bathroom floor whereas this one had a lip on the floor to keep the water in the shower). In the room there were some minor issues, like a small, noisy heater located right next to the bed, which didn’t really warm the whole room, and the bathroom wasn’t heated at all on the pretty cold winter day we stayed there. There are some indications that whoever is running the show should maybe consult a more experienced hotelier: tv not centered to bed; bedside shelves located at head-level with no space from edge of bed where someone might clunk their head if they turn over rapidly; and—funniest of all—the modesty curtain in our room was mounted OUTSIDE of the black out drape. (I guess whoever installed it liked the way it looked.) That said, it was quiet (no surprise since there were almost no other guests in the hotel), and I had the feeling that owners/management are earnestly trying to establish a nice place for their guests. Free parking is a welcome change. People were all very friendly, which counts for a lot. Despite some of the weirdness, I’d stay there again in the future if circumstances demanded.
