The location of the property is 10/10, you can easily walk to any location in the Halifax Harbour. The restaurant in the lobby is great for breakfast or you can walk to the food court across the street in the mall. Check-in is at 3 pm and we couldn't check in any sooner, unless we were willing to pay an up-charge, judging by the others waiting to get into the room, this is a common occurrence. We were told it was because housekeeping was delayed due to the weather (it was raining)...um okay. We stayed for 4 nights (Sunday - Wednesday) and the only housekeeping we received is after 3 days were given fresh towels and our garbage was emptied, nothing more. There was a sign saying we could go to the lobby and get fresh towels earlier if we wanted. We were supposed to get housekeeping after 2 nights. Barrington needs to hire more staff and pay them a livable wage. The room's decor, bedding and bathroom are very outdated, you can tell no money has been put into it for awhile, our room was relatively clean.

Wonderful stay here on the 12th floor with views overlooking the citadel. Would recommend and stay again if I ever find myself back in Halifax!
