“Room was great. Pool and Hot tub nice. Staff great. Their "wellness center" or gym is nothing. Looked like a storage room with a treadmill and bike. Had to go find a gym in town”

“The Walnut in is a charming little hotel off I40 that my dog and I stopped at for a quick overnight that ended conning two nights. It was wonderful. So clean, cute, the staff were amazing and there was the best little diner right next door! Casino across the way but we didn’t go over! The price was fantastic and really I can’t say more wonderful things about it! 10/10 for me!”

“Just fell asleep an hour was bitten by bedbugs woke up, the whole body was bitten, had to go to the car to sleep”

“The rooms are not what shown on pictures. The properly is poorly maintained. The bathtub drain didn't properly drain, the ice bucket inside the room was filthy, the bed spread had stains on them, the ice machine did not work. The humidity smell was all over the hotel. Apparently there was housekeeping service daily, but out sheets were never changed (we were there for 4 days). Overall, an ok place to stay in a very ok town, but definitely not coming back.”

“Pros: room was clean, had a working A/C and refrigerator. Cons: The curtains were tattered and too short for the window and barely covered the width of the window. Beds were hard. Pillows were like a rock. Only offered one wash cloth and two bath towels for 3 people. Did not offer amenities at all. There was a small coffee maker but no grounds offered and missing the glass coffee carafe. Tv remote didn’t work, microwave had a broken dent in the door and was unplugged (we were afraid to……

“Beautiful and spacious room, artfully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the TV allowed us to stream our favorites. We enjoyed our two nights there and will stay again when we are in the area. A lovely and economical alternative to a hotel.”

“The room was clean, linens clean. Curtains adequately blocked outside lighting at night. Staff were friendly. Plenty of amenities for taking care of yourself in terms of access to food and refreshments. Grocery and other stores within a couple of minutes' drive. Valet team was one of the best I've experienced. In true casino fashion, the smell of smoke hits you upon entrance, but the hotel part was smoke-free. Elevators were quick. Enjoyed an evening of gaming entertainment during the stay.”

“The room was spacious & served its purpose. Grounds were a little dirty. Wanted to do swimming in the pool but a bunch of sweaty workers consumed it with loud music (which is fine) just didn’t feel comfortable. Breakfast was good except the sausage did NOT taste like sausage.ewww! Stick to waffles & eggs. Wish the woulda had some good coffee creamers others than powders but that’s just being spoiled haha location is great! Walmart close, liquor store, restaurants & dollar store across the……
