"It was overall good. We had some weather issues, but that was not the resorts fault. The concerns we had where with the restaurants not being open regularly, out of the 5 they offer, only 2 where open. The buffet gets to be too boring night after night. Room was dated, and worn ... again not a huge ..."

"The Hotel is in a great location. Just a short walk to the Malecón were you have restaurants and night life. I felt safe to walk around day and night. The staff is friendly and well mannered specially Jose at the front desk, bell staff was prompt and friendly. The morning team at the breakfast area was cheerful and friendly. The food selection was fresh and delicious.
No credit cards accepted only cash. There is no information or details on the Hotels.com website it coughs us by surprise thankfully we had enough cash on hand. It would be nice if the staff knew a little information of things to do or history hi lights. We will be back!!"

"The Bannister Hotel is an amazing place. Every time I come to the Dominican Republic, I choose this amazing and beautiful hotel. Not only is it a fantastic place, but they also have the most accommodating staff with amazing and personable personalities. I wish I could remember all the lovely people's names but to names that stand out are Elena and Alexandro. It is very rare to find people like these two. Not only were they extremely nice and helpful, but they also recommended different sites to make my stay even nicer. The Bannister Hotel is the first hotel that made my stay outside my own city feel like home. "

"The view is amazing! Overlooking the bay we could clearly see whales everyday just off shore. The unit is spacious with a beautiful full length deck. Located about 15 minutes from Samana the property itself (Vista Mare) is very nice and well maintained with 2 fabulous beaches, 2 infinity pools and a very good restaurant. The property is on hill so be prepared for some very steep hikes to the beaches and pools but well worth the walk or drive. We had some minor issues when we arrived but I must say that our host and property manager resolved them quickly."
