“Loved this surf hostel. We have stayed at a few "hostels" as a family with two little boys, because they're rough on rooms and a hostel with a wooden floor and durable furniture is perfect for them. Dave the owner was the nicest guy on the planet--he would rush over with his dog (hi, Harvey!) to fill our water bottle and hooked us up with a surf instructor last-minute. Also very forgiving of a mishap with my car where I backed into the plants. It's a functional motel, and it's near the beach.……

“Not a great experience. Texted them around 3:30 to see if the room was ready and was told they would let me know. At 4:03 I text them and they said the cleaning crew needs 10 minutes. I arrive at 4:15pm and it’s still not ready. 4:25pm the room is “ready”. First I couldn’t get in because the code they gave me didn’t work, they changed the code ok great. “The staff were very kind. Location of the property was super convenient, lots of restaurants, stores, and only a 10 min walk from the beach. The room was beautiful, however we were placed in room 2 which was right under a restaurant which we didn’t know about upon booking, but we should’ve read into it more haha!
