San Juan del Río Vacations from $725

When I booked this room through hotels.com I expected it to be a full service hotel. It is not. It is let yourself in with a code, and no one on sight. The room was fairly bare, no coffee except self serve in the lobby, no tv, no elevator so I dragged heavy suitcases up metal steps. etc. But, the bigger problem was how incredibly loud it was when anyone else came back in. The lights all came on in the hall lighting up my room and again the staircase and metal doors are all loud. I felt like I was in a hostel for over $100 a night. Great location, but I would not recommend anything else. Thankfully I was only there one night.

The hotel is very good, the staff is amazing!! All of them!! The people in the front desk, the ladies that keep the rooms clean, the guards at the garage etc etc. all of them. The point is the noise! The hotel has a nice roof top that has a party almost every night until midnight. Forget about sleeping. In addition is located in a traditional traditional area where they have parties and fire works for everything. Every rocket is like a bomb next to your room .

Great boutique hotel in one of the best neighborhoods of SMA, nice and quiet and private with beautiful views of the city. Staff was very responsive and friendly. Free breakfast was brought to the room or could be had upstairs in the nice restaurant. AC was a bit weak and towels were frayed on the edges. The room had one roll of toilet paper and we had to ask them to refill it every day. The room comes with only one non-decaf Nespresso pod and the staff was very confused when we asked for more coffee every day.

Beautiful, small, and quaint property conveniently located near city center with a lovely courtyard and garden. Breakfast was delicious and morning staff friendly. We were a little disappointed bc we booked a suit, and the room was not available the first night. The hotel did offer us a voucher for breakfast. Also, the evening staff was a little rude as he asked me to not use the wash cloth to wash my face or remove makeup. I am not sure what other use a wash cloth would have? There was not a black wash cloth for makeup removal in the room until the third night. The hotel should have made that available in lieu of admonishing their guests.
