Although the property appears a little run down and the plumbing wasn’t great, the customer service was excellent. We visited for the Half Ironman in Sandusky and were beyond impressed that breakfast (both sit down and bagged) was available from 4:30am!

Decent facilities, weak staffing

Fairly clean and up to date facilities. Staff were less friendly than your average hotel. Breakfast was mediocre. Had to wait far too long for refills of the hot foods. No standard tea options were available - everything had some fruit flavour. No basic black tea for two days running. There’s a Walmart around the corner, send someone. Given the many options in town, I would not stay there again.

Door lock was broken and door could be pushed open from the outside. Front staff person, Jenna, was attentive and had maintenance over in 10 minutes to fix it. She was willing to put us at a different hotel if maintenance couldn’t fix it. Thankfully it was fixed and we had no issues. Breakfast was good. Beds were just ok. Overall stay was good.
