Siesta Key is located on Florida’s Gulf Coast, just an hour south of Tampa. Part of prestigious Sarasota County, Siesta Key is only a bridge away from the “epicenter” of Florida’s Culture, Sarasota.

Featuring 99% quartz, Siesta Key is proud of its sand. Siesta Key even won an award from the International Sand Contest in 1987 for having the best overall sand anywhere! That means that Siesta Key has the best sand in the WORLD! Even the Travel Channel agrees. In 2004, the Travel Channel’s Best Beaches in America show featured Siesta Key as the Best Sand Beach…on the planet!

Siesta Key, Crescent Beach, Siesta Beach and Turtle Beach are accessible from the North Bridge at Siesta Drive or the South Bridge at Stickney Point Road.

With limited parking, along Beach Road, expansive Crescent Beach has been rated as one of the “Top 10 Beaches in the World”. Smack-dab- in the center of Crescent Beach is… the “public beach” known as Siesta Beach where Dr. Steve Leatherman, a.k.a. “Dr. Beach” awarded it… The #1 Ranking… above all other beaches in the U.S…. including Hawaii! Even Florida Trend Magazine has named Siesta Beach “The Best Beach” in the State of Florida!

If vacationing on Siesta Key in early November, you could see some pretty unusual sand formations. Not your typical sand castles but, World-Class… sand sculptures. You’ll see the best of the best…as Sand Sculpture Artists the world over, gather on Siesta Beach to work their magic at the Siesta Key Sand Sculpture Contest.
Siesta Key beach offers tennis and volleyball courts, shaded playground and picnic area, and convenient concession stands for a quick bite or a refreshing drink. Its shallow water near the shoreline and year-round lifeguard protection make it a great beach for the whole family. You can even borrow beach wheelchairs if you have visitor that needs help across the sand.

Whether you enjoy playing tennis or volleyball, fishing or boating, or a Drum Circle on Sunday evening to mark the end of another perfect weekend on Siesta Key, there's always something to do on Siesta Beach and it is all within walking distance of the many shops and restaurants on Siesta Key Village.
Crescent Beach

Located just south of Siesta Beach and with on picture-perfect sunsets in a quieter, more secluded setting. At the southern tip of Crescent Beach, you'll find Point of Rocks, an area rich with coral formations and colorful marine life that is perfect for snorkeling or diving. Crescent Beach is the most private, non-private beach in town. The sand at Crescent Beach was rated as "The World's Finest, Whitest Sand™" at the Great International Sand Challenge in 1987 beating more than 30 entrants. Turtle Beach Located on the southern tip of Siesta Key, Turtle Beach offers a "sportier" beach experience with its picnic areas, playground, volleyball court, and horseshoe pit. Turtle Beach has a boat launch area and fishing is permitted in the adjacent Blind Pass Lagoon. This area has restaurants, shopping and a few local night spots nearby. Turtle Beach is a narrow beach with a steeper incline and darker sand that carries more shells. This beach is perfect for beach combers and shell collectors; you might even find a petrified shark's tooth to take home, especially after a storm. Whichever beach you choose, the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce can help you find the perfect Where To Stay, fun Events Calendar and all kinds of Things To Do while you are in town.

A nightmare house
I'm very disappointed in renting this house.. do Not ever stay there!!! I rented it for 10 days ended up leaving 2 days later after she told me I can leave and I'll get my money back on the days that I didn't stay BUT she LIED to get us to leave as we felt we had to because it was not liveable for us, that's how bad it was. She was very clear to me over the phone that you can find another house and she'll refund the money back that I worked so hard for all year so I can afford to take my kids on vacation!!! So since we agreed, we left the house cleaner that she gave it to me i spent a whole day sanitizing . I reached out to her to find out how much shes going to refund me than she tells me that she CHANGED her mind and she's keeping all my money over $4,200. She took my money without me staying. I was very clear with her so she can charge me for the 2 days and cleaning fees even though I left it very clean. I Kept reaching out to her that I need my money so I can pay for the new place that I rented for my kids but she's nowhere to get a hold of her. So spent all day looking for new house and moved out. Very bad management house not safe back door doesn't lock bedroom doors don't have lock either no blinds in bedrooms see through curtains probably neighbors can see you and woke you up early not to mention the mattress are horrible and you sink in the middle of the bed no night stand there is a chair no mirrors just ran down house needs a lots of work. Oh by the way when I pulled in there was a couch and 2 mattress boxes at the end of the driveway that had to deal with getting in and out with a tight driveway till pick up day which was 4 days later very unprofessional. Surprisingly the owner to the house was the cleaning lady that I met few times at the property because she popped up few times to drop off more towels and next day to drop off door stops so I can use them to lock my bedroom door after she told WHY do I need the door to lock . There is mold in the house, bugs, and cracks in floors . I'm not going to let her take my money, going to report her to the BBB and have lots of pictures to prove it This has been a nightmare of a vacation for me and my family very very very disappointed to what they did to me. Nightmare of a rental house!

3/5 Okay

Decent house. Kind of small.
This is a decent house. Everything worked and it had the things necessary for our stay but I give it two stars for accuracy because it’s not as nice as the pictures show it to be.

3/5 Okay

Okay
Okay location, but not as clean as should be. Dead ants in the bathroom, on roll away beds, corner in rooms and constant ant problem while there.

3/5 Okay

Siesta Key Pool House
The only slight problem was the lack of information/communication supplied by HomeAway ,,We booked 12 months in advance and closer to departure date still had no communication from them regarding our trip & access to the property ,still no door code received, lucky when we arrived at the property the cleaning lady was in there,,, but overall we had a fantastic time, property was more than adequate considering its a rental, facilities were good , pool table , swimming pool ect , overall very happy.

4/5 Good

Great!
The location and the pool were awesome! It wasn't the cleanest (I am a neat freak) and there were limited kitchen utensils. The small coffee pot was a pain, and we only had 2 coffee drinkers. The beach supplies were perfect and useful. Host was responsive. Overall, I would return.
