Great until you look deeper!

The hotel staff was friendly enough. If I don't mention the fact that for my first 2 nights they charged me no kind of extra fees, but on the 3rd night decided to charge me an "amenities" fee without notice or permission of $20.00, not that it is a large monetary amount, but annoying none the less. Also, at one point, there was some attitude regarding replacement bedding, albeit there was a spilled Gatorade incident, but what can be expected with a 3 year old. But I digress, overall the staff was great.
The only other complaint that have, other than the pool closing t 11pm :(, is that when I looked under the couch for our missing remote control, I found a strange assortment of of items that did not belong to us. These items included a toothbrush, a wrapper from a peanut candy bar(baby is allergic to peanuts), an Alaska Airline pin, and a large array of crumbs and other assorted dirt items. This led me do believe that they did not vacuum the room after the last guest. I look under the side table and even bed skirt(yes even right under the bed skirt) for confirmation and found enough dirt to fill a small hole. :P
I would probably stay again,...after trying out other hotels in the area:)

I want to apologize for us not meeting your expectations. We will definitely look into the cleanliness issue. This is not acceptable. We strive to exceed all of our guests expectations and I apologize that we fell short with yours.
