Had a wonderful stay at Hyde. The front desk and restaurant staff are all very helpful and friendly. The clean was clean and spacious, little details such as filled water bottle in the room to having the bed and room prepared for the evening by staff when I was out for the day, to the prepared breakfast pack as I had an early flight which meant I would miss breakfast were all very nice touches. One of front desk staff, Morris, also checked in on me to ensured that I was safe when I didn’t really let anyone know where I was going for the day. I’ve never experienced such attentive services and genuine touches anywhere so that was special. A highly recommended place to stay when in Jo’burg.

One of my best hotel experiences ever! I cannot say enough good things about our stay at the The Residence hotel in Johannesburg. It was a beautiful and quiet retreat from the city and travel excursions. From the moment we entered the property, the staff made us feel welcomed and pampered. Everyone was absolutely delightful and accommodating. The staff enriched our time whether it was checking in, enjoying cocktails on the patio, sitting at the pool, or dining. We stayed in two different rooms one at the beginning of our stay and one at the end of our stay in Johannesburg (we did a Krueger tour in between). The Penthouse is incredible! The King jacuzzi suite was also amazing! It was truly a memorable experience. I highly recommend.
