The Inn is lovely and very quaint. The location is great for exploring Acadia. A few small things made the stay less relaxing than it could have been for us. No direct booking was available on the website. After booking through Expedia, we realized we needed to request a specific room that was listed as pet friendly on the website. Expedia did not specify which rooms were pet friendly. This required multiple calls back and forth to try to update the reservation. The host was finally able to confirm the room swap right around check in time the next day. This likely would have been easier to resolve if there was direct booking available. When we arrived to check in, we were looking forward to relaxing after a long day of hiking and exploring. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable. The check in process took over 30 minutes, mostly occupied by conversation. The host entered our room with us, and engaged in lengthy conversation before giving us our room lock code and leaving. We said we had already been in the area for 5 days and were familiar with the local attractions, yet she still pulled out the map on our bed to show us things. I appreciate the personal nature of a bed and breakfast, however, the length of conversation during check in and in our bedroom felt imposing. The host was very nice and I intend this feedback to be constructive. Personally, as a guest I value privacy and relaxation. The room was well appointed, although the floors were dirty.

You will not be disappointed with what you see once you see inside the doors. Beautifully decorated and everything you need, but... it is more like a modular 4-apartment home / b&b - no ocean view, at the end of a dirt road (lots of dust), but a few deer met us as we unpacked. We were skeptical at first, yet pleasantly surprised with our stay. I highly recommend, so long as your expectations are set.

I really enjoy the location, it was close enough to everything but yet far enough away from the crowds.
