“The cottage has everything a family needs but the communications around check-in was very poor and hotels.com's customer service was unwilling to provide any assistance. I would have thought some level of quality control helped justify hotels.com's commission. "What deserves special mention is the breakfast. Located on the top floor of the hotel, it offers great views, and the seating—chairs and tables on tatami mats—made it very comfortable. The Japanese-style breakfast buffet was exceptionally delicious; it's rare to find such a great meal. The milk, apparently from the Asama Highlands, was the best I've ever tasted—sweet, rich, and fresh. Furthermore, everyone was dining quietly, creating a wonderful atmosphere."
