Spectacular sunsets. The hotel itself is lovely. Our room was lovely, the pool was great and nice beachfront view. Service in the restaurant was very slow and prices were expensive, with only 2 options on the menu for dinner. Breakfast was nice. Need more sun loungers though!

It was a very nice stay. Excellent location and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. However, this hotel is in a need of renovation and improvement in cleanliness. The room we stayed in had a mould on the bathroom ceiling. Lamps in the bedroom were also covered with mould and tick layer of dust. Paint on the bedroom ceiling was cracked. Doors around handles were dirty. Mosquito net was dusty. Air con looked mouldy. There was weird and loud sound coming from the pipes when we were flushing toilet. For the price hotel charges clients it should be spotless.

The rooms smelled strongly of mold. In the dining room, we were rudely awakened as we drank water from a water dispenser at dinner. It's like we're criminals. Contrary to what they promised was no children's playroom, no spa . in one room, no hot water, the service in the dining room was slow, not full of trays that emptied, and it was disappointing compared to the price we paid

Hotel Costello
Known among the locals as one of the nicer hotels - I had a wonderful stay here! It's not posh, no spa is involved but it is nice and comfortable the beach is super convenient as is the bus and some local shops. The people working there are shy but super sweet we had a gentleman who worked in maintenance offer us coconuts he would freshly pick and peel for us everyday of our stay. It was pretty ideal and the price was great. Also the pictures of the beach don't do it justice. I definitely recommend!

the hotel is okay
We booked a taxi from the airport through the hotel which never showed up. Just take one of the many local taxis at the airport, they're also much cheaper. The hotel's location is a bit remote, you should rent a car (expensive though). Nearby Lemuria Resort had closed down and Grand Anse has not much to offer, so you need to go across the entire Island to Anse Volbert for a beautiful beach and excellent restaurants. You can also take a local bus (very cheap) but need to take taxis after 6pm. Our room was very spacious and the hotel's location is very quiet. Unfortunately the mini-fridge and the aircondition (which barely worked) made a huge noise. Internet worked. It's nice to take a sunbath at the private beach and to swim in the pool, but the sea had huge waves, so you couldn't swim there safely (there are far better beaches with finer sand and shallow waves on the island). The breakfast was fine, but the two or three times we tried lunch or dinner at the restaurant we were disappointed. There are much better restaurants at Anse Volbert. The staff was disappointing - 2 of the 3 people at the reception were arrogant and unfriendly without reason and the waitresses were not motivated and apparently didn't like working there. Sad to see at an expensive 4* hotel. If you can avoid having any dealings with the staff and rent a car, I think it's a decent hotel to stay, especially if you look for a quiet location.

Good AVERAGE hotel.
Great average hotel. Loads of problems at meal times, Breakfast starts at 07h00, but food only gets set out at 07h30-08h00...Many food on Dinner menu was not available..think due to bad planning. Restaurant staff was not very friendly. Overall a comfortable stay, as we had a Family room, which was very spacious...good quiet location close to airport.

There are many issues with this hotel. 1. Staff not that friendly 2. Breakfast poor 3. Rooms with dead bugs 4. A/C not cooling because installed in the wrong spot of the room 5. Matress is the worst quality, it feels as if it is lop sided 6. Room windows do not have curtains, hard to sleep when sun is up

🇸🇨Castello beach hotel🇸🇨 Rummet bra. (Saknas krokar) Menyn endast två varmrätter, varav ingen gillades, tvingades ta en förrätt, blev inte mätt. För prisnivån på hotellet helt oacceptabelt. Nettes Hotel, wobei man sagen muss, dass es sehr, sehr vorteilhaft fotografiert wurde... es ist alles in die Jahre gekommen, schlecht gebaut bzw. ausgebessert. Der Pool ist klein. Das Personal ist am Anfang freundlich gewesen, bis wir (nach Rücksprache mit der Rezeptionschefin! ! ! ) an einem Abend uns nur setzen und etwas trinken wollten, nur die Kinder wollten etwas essen. Die Dame kam 10 Mal an unseren Tisch und wollte uns das (sehr überteuerte und minimalistisch kleine) Abendessen aufzwängen. Da wir aber auswärts bereits gegessen hatten, blieben wir dabei, nur Cocktails zu trinken. Dies ging überhaupt nicht... sogar der Koch kam heraus, sämtliche Angestellten kamen heraus und behandelten uns wie Schwerverbrecher. Später kam auch nochmal die Managerin, bei der wir uns vorher vergewissert haben, ob das denn in Ordnung sei, wenn nur die Kinder noch etwas essen. Abends war es dann so, dass die Angestellten um 21:10 die Bar schlossen und die Gäste mit den Worten: "you go now, we close" herauswarfen. Dies ist uns an 3 Abenden passiert. Es waren ca. 6 Gäste da, die gerne noch etwas getrunken hätten. Das Frühstück ist sehr sehr übersichtlich. Es gibt jeden Tag dasselbe. Immer die selbe Salami und denselben bereits alten, angetrockneten Käse, der furchtbar aussieht. Am letzten Tag haben wir uns dazu entschieden, das Frühstück ausfallen zu lassen und woanders einzunehmen, da es wirklich eine Zumutung ist, wenn man morgens die vertrockneten Croissants vom Vortag erhält.

Très belle chambre au calme. La restauration est cependant minimaliste et très chère. La plage n'est pas praticable par forte houle. A noter la présence d'un arrêt de bus bien pratique juste à la sortie de l'hôtel.

Cerca del aeropuerto de Praslin
Muy dificil la comunicacion previa con el hotel. Estuvimos solo una noche porque llegabamos en el ultimo vuelo despues de un largo viaje y el hotel quedaba muy cerca del aeropuerto. El hotel es correcto, la habitacion era grande pero sin vista y el desayuno bueno (salvo q el jugo de naranja no era natural). Para pasar la noche, nos fuimos a la mañana siguiente, cumplio nuestras expectativas. Excelente recibimiento por parte del security a la noche.

Hôtel très cher pour le service. Accueil décevant, suite avec vue sur l’allée et vis à vis direct avec les autres chambres, les WC ne fonctionnaient pas. Petit déjeuner commence à 7h30 mais à cette heure il n’y rien de prêt ! Nous devions partir pour 8h à l’aeroport, que le buffet n’etait Toujours pas installé. Évidemment aucune excuse ni explications. Nous avons onc payé un service sans pouvoir en profiter.

C est un belle hôtel avec du personnel charmant Et serviable mais je met un gros bémol sur la propreté obligé d aller plusieurs fois à l accueil pour demander à ce que la chambre soit entièrement nettoyée ca Chez moi c est pas normal pour 4 étoiles de plus la plage et quasi impraticable beaucoup de rochers et très dangereuse pour ceux qui doivent restés à l hôtel c est dommage. Sinon je le répète le personnel et très sympathique et souriants

Schönes Hotel direkt am Strand
Wir waren im Rahmen von unserem "Inselhopping" für 4 Nächte im Castello Beach Hotel. Eine schöne Hotelanlage an einem wirklich sehr schönen Standabschnitt. Das Zimmer war viel größer als erwartet (eigentlich war es eher eine Wohnung). Am Hotel an sich haben wir nichts zu bemängeln. Hier wurden unsere Erwartungen erfüllt und wir würden auch wieder das Castello Beach buchen. Was allerdings noch sehr viel Luft nach oben hat, das ist der Service im Restaurant. Sehr unmotivierte Mitarbeiter. Die stehen sich lieber an der Theke die Beine in den Bauch, als dass sie mal aktiv auf die Gäste zugehen und nach Getränkewünschen fragen. Und sollte man Glück haben und ein Getränk bekommen - wohl auch, weil man sich selbst zur Theke bewegt hat - dann stehen die leeren Gläser auch mal gern 24 h am Strand rum, bevor sie weggeräumt werden. Im Grunde aber Pech für´s Hotel. Denn so bringen sich die Gäste ihre Getränke auch mal selbst aus dem Supermarkt mit.Das spart Nerven und auch Geld.

Apres avoir été victime d'un surbooking le propriétaire de Castello Beach Hôtel nous à relogés dans un hôtel de catégorie supérieure sans frais en prenant également en charge la demie pension. Nous n'avons donc séjourné que 2 nuits sur 5 au Castello. Hôtel familial principalement fréquenté par des familles allemandes. Piscine en bord de mer, Hôtel sur la plage. Tres propre chambres vastes mais sans vue sur la mer. Cuisine correcte (indienne et internationale).

Inget fyrstjärnigt hotell snarare 2-3 stjärnor, bra läge nära/stranden, rummen är enkla och det mesta är " halvfunkis " Servicen är överlag dålig och vid pool/strandområdet saknas service helt - madrasser till solstolarar är slitna och smutsiga.... Restaurangen tar ut ett häftigt överpris och servicen är väldig seg - gå hellre till hotellet bredvid, god mat, trevlig personal och rimliga priser.

Beautifully located hotel near beach
Castello offered large rooms furnished with generous beds, sofas and chairs in nice Island style, including a fridge and safe. On arrival the bed was beautifully decorated with flowers. Quit location with good sleep in air conditioned room. Breakfast buffé offered less than other hotels we visited, but you can have your omelet tailored by the chef. Sufficient number of beach beds and shade under large trees was appreciated, but unfortunately the ocean waves blasted all but a single meter of sand most of the day, and it was sometimes difficult to swim because of large waves. Pity you could not walk along the beach as cut off by large rock piles to protect from erosion. Staff was OK and offered a free dinner as compensation as they moved us to another room on the third night. Overall this is a beautiful place to stay but somewhat off other areas of the island, so if you wish to visit Vallé de Mai or other more beautiful beaches on north/east Praslin, suggest preferably rent a car (available near hotel). If we were to do a second tour of the Seychelles we might book Castello here on Praslin, and go for the 15 minute ferry ride to La Digue over the day, rather than relocating to La Digue for 2-3 nights, as we did this time. (20 min by car from Castello to ferry, 30-40 mins to northern Praslin beaches).

Hotel piccolo ma grazioso!
Ho soggiornato una settimana presso questo hotel e mi sono trovato complessivamente bene. La camera era spaziosa e pulita, il personale gentile e la vista su mare e piscina graditissima! Dovrebbero variare un po' il menù dei pasti e organizzare qualcosa dopo cena, perché già dopo le 9 di sera sinspegne tutto!

Wir haben zwei Nächte im Hotel verbracht und waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Der Hotelstrand war bei unserem Aufenthalt nicht zu verwenden, dafür gibt es einen schönen Poolbereich mit neuen Liegenauflagen. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe der Busstation und eines Supermarktes. Unsere Kritikpunkte sind der Strand und die überforderte Klimaanlage im Zimmer, die zu einer recht hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit führte. Schöne Strände können entweder per ansprüchsvollem aber schönen Wanderweg oder per Bus erreicht werden. Insgesamt haben wir eine sehr schöne Zeit verbracht.
