Shaftman Performance Hall Tours

So, we booked this for a football game, which is probably relevant. It seemed like the room we were in, and maybe the whole section, was not regularly used. For some reason, it took like 5-10 minutes to get hot water to any of the faucets. Not just once, but every time. There were spiderwebs behind the bathroom door. One bolt on the toilet seat was broken, so the seat would spin around. The shower head had about half the nozzles clogged, so it was hard to rinse off. The room had minimal furniture, like only a couple of desk chairs. I guess this was part of the "vibe". We called about the hot water, and found out that there was only a single person on duty at night, and he was usually busy. He was also quite put out that he had to come to check on the hot water. When it got tepid after about 5 minutes, he declared it to be working and left. We would have just asked for a different room (but they were full) or left, but that would have been a big expense due to the game. Will not be returning, even for a top 10 opponent :)

It was difficult to know what to do or where to go. It is a very neat place, which is lovely but a little bit interesting to navigate as a guest. We came on a Monday and the restaurant was closed so we couldn’t have dinner there. There was also a large group that was taking up the shared space upstairs so we couldn’t hang out there either. The place is absolutely beautiful, it may have just been an off time for us to be there.
