The staff were alll brilliant but special thanks goes to Mr Isam who was so amazing from our first day there until the last day. Ehab and Mohamad were extremely helpful in setting up tours of the pyramids, sakara/dashour and Alexandria. I would have been totally lost without them arranging everything. It was safe and informative and easy for me. I even left a bag of mine in the taxi from the airport to the hotel and Ehab was able to help me retrieve it! Really saved a disaster there. We read through reviews and felt it was too good to be true. Yes, it is a small kind-of-old hotel without an elevator or luxury rooms, maybe not the cleanest either but everything written in the reviews is true, the staff was very nice and helpful all the time, we never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. When one of our guides showed up unexpectedly they were so firm not to let him inside, which made us understand how they handle the things well without us guest noticing. There are many well-known big hotels around the river Nile, go ahead if you want to be sure but you are not gonna regret your stay here, waking up and going to bed right in front of the great pyramids. There are many hotels around, I’m not sure if all hotels have the same view but we loved the views they had. (BTW the pictures they have are real.) Yes it is noisy as it is on the same street as the exit of the Giza pyramids but with the earplugs they offer you can sleep ok. We felt like we were at home. Thank you for everything!
