It's a small traditional pub with rooms in a central location. We parked at the NCP which is five mins walk away. We had room 2, which is directly above the bar. There is bar noise in this room but no music playing during our Friday night stay, so not too bad. The room is, dated and small but adequate. The beds here are beautiful old wooden beds which add an historic touch to the stay. We didn't dine here so can't review that. The price we paid was very reasonable for a Friday night, which was £67\. Situated right in the centre of Shrewsbury so ideally placed. Our room was compact, but had everything that we needed and it was clean and tidy. The only downside was the heat of the rooms, meaning we needed to have windows open on a busy road. There was a fan in our room. The room was noisy but being directly above a pub was what we expected, plus probably hard to insulate for this in a building of that age! Lovely little room with a lovely window view outside, spotless with some tea and coffee treats. Convenient in the middle of town too. Quite dusty in more out of reach areas like on the top op the bed top and the carpet was worn near the en suit. the bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly.
