Comfortable bed, friendly ,helpful staff, delicious evening meal, room small but very reasonable price, noisy position due to busy traffic and a 5:00 a.m. beer barrel delivery !
My husband and I had a great stay here for our anniversary weekend. The room was great value compared to other local hotels, ideal location in the centre of Shrewsbury and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The discount off food and drink in the pub was a nice bonus! The super king double room was great and had almost everything we needed. It was a little run down in places but was mainly just a quirky older building which was fun. We didn’t have any issues with noise, there was just a bit of noise from people walking outside towards the end of the night but nothing crazy. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
The trip was excellent from start to finish, from checking in, to been given instructions on doors after hours, fire evacuation details, that we could get 10% off food & drinks. We are already booked again in July and looking forward to another comfortable stay.

We had another great stay at Cromwell's. It's a bargain budget break which offers good value for money. The property is old and dated in most parts but our room was clean and adequate as before. The beer garden was a nice place to sit out for a drink and the food looked really nice! We will be back.
An ideal place to stay very close to the town centre. A comfortable room and quiet after the pub closes. The food is very good. The staff are friendly and helpful if you need assistance. We would certainly stay there again.
A very quirky upbeat pub with oldy worldy rooms. Great food and friendly staff. Lovely sheltered beer garden. Fab location for exploring town. Only negative comments are room needed a good dust and the bar closes at 10pm on Monday and Tuesday evenings, otherwise very nice 2 night stay.
Great location and super food. It is a pub so not quiet until closing time but that didn't bother us at all. We parked on a street a lovely 14 min walk away rather than the NCP carpark.
This is an old historic pub with accommodations. The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was small but well appointed, comfortable and clean..large bathroom. We were surprised by how quiet it was despite being over the pub and on a busy street. We had dinner one evening and food was delicious. There is a nice terrace. The location is perfect...close walking distance to everything.
We really enjoyed our stay.
