Very nice and charming little resort!

St. Lucia was a very very nice visit/vacation of all we have taken together. My wife and I enjoy to the upmost! We saw the sights of the local area near the hummingbird hotel in our 6days stay. Well Melvin "Baby-Shaq" had more to show us, but I was just ready to relax and just enjoy the wonderful view from the beach that I could walk to from my room at the hummingbird, everyday. We spent so much time on the beach that we didn't realize how sunburnt we were until returning home. Enjoyed this place! Get with "baby-Shaq"! He will even take you on farther island adventures. Oh! don't come here during April timeframe for "Holiday Period" if you are a clubber, because dance clubs were close.

After I made my reservations I learned that the Hummingbird Beach Resort WAS NOT ON THE LIST OF APPROVED COVID-19 INSPECTED PROPERTIES. Countless numbers of attempts by me to phone the management went unanswered --- I ended up going elsewhere (a property which WAS on the covid approved list -- WASTE OF MY TIME

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room OK but not what we would have expected for the price. Location was great, right on the beach, close to but not right in town. Unfortunately, there is a park only a few feet away where they have “events” with loud music till 2 am some nights. No sleep till the party’s over.

I had no assistance with my luggage upon arrival. Cable TV is non-functional and no Wi-FI for the individual rooms. Other than these shortcomings, my stay was restful and peaceful.

Be warned - The Superior Piton View rooms do not have AC despite what is stated on the Expedia website. In addition the rooms are stuffy and have poor ventilation becoming uncomfortably hot on sunny days. The incredibly noisy fan provided by the hotel didn't really help. This is a great shame as the staff are incredibly friendly, the location great, a short walk into the town. The food is good and the views wonderful. But when your partner has a heart condition and you really need a room with AC as advertised and as booked but the hotel is unable to provide one because all but the Superior Piton View rooms are full (wonder why?) it really turns what could have been a fantastic experience into a poor one. Get a room with AC or if you are someone that doesn't need AC then this is a great, quiet little resort.

The staff was amazing! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The location is the bomb: a beautiful view of Petit Piton, next to a nice beach, and walking distance to town. It is close to many of the islands main attractions. The pool is nice and adjacent to the bar, which was lovely for relaxing afternoons. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I would have liked a room with air conditioning, but would have had to give up the beautiful view from my balcony. The rooms are a bit dated, but the price was right and the location and service couldn't be beat.

Great hotel in a fantastic location

The hotel is in a fantastic location right on the beach with fantastic views of the Pitons. Very short walk into Soufriere if want food and drinks in town.

Loved the view from the restaurant. Our room was a dark (almost basement like) room that had not been updated since the 70's I am guessing. Room #4 Looked nothing the ad picture. No mosquito netting and the TV didn't work (or wasn't hooked up right) 2 crappy pillows on the bed (my neck is still not happy)

Hummingbird Beach Resort is generally quiet and in the most beautiful setting possible on the island. Close proximity to town and many nearby attractions is a major bonus. Great beds, lovely grounds, a sweet little pool, and excellent food top it all off. The staff are phenomenal and get to know you by name, greeting you every time they see you. We loved it here.

Lush landscaping supports many hummingbirds and other birds, as well as frogs and lizards. Downside is prevalence of mosquitos and sand flies. Bug spray essential if you tend to be bitten. Public beach is attractive and not crowded, but shoreline is stone/pebbles and shelves sharply. Beach/swim shoes may be helpful.

The setting was fantastic with an incredible veiw of Gros Piton and the resort had wonderful charm The staff were very polite and accomodating. The grounds were kept very nice with colorful tropical plants and flowers which attracted local birds and many humming birds. The king-size four-poster bed with all around insect netting was very relaxing and comfortable. The room did not have air-conditioning but with the screening on both sides of the double doors and/or the doors open itb was comfortable in light of the constant breeze present. A blanket was even needed one night, However the building that we were in was in need of restoration and repair, The light in the bathroom often did not come on at first, although after a time it would come on. The water pressure was practally non-existant, making showering a challenge.

Saint Lucia on a budget! Originally picked this resort for the cheap price but the friendly staff, location and views is what will be bringing us back! With only 9 rooms it was like having the place to yourself. Rooms were clean and air conditioning was a life saver. Pool is deep and the beach was great! Can’t wait to go back.

Hummingbird is a jewel in the tropical jungle of an unspoilt island paradise. It has all the facilities required to experience st Lucia , fantastic staff and very friendly locals making a living from the islands natural resources without spoiling it. We ate in hummingbirds restaurant most nights and was on a par with the other more exclusive restaurants nearby. Simply fresh food from goods available locally or even caught the same day. The romm we stayed in was air conditioned and much needed, but a little dark due to the need to keep it cool and could do with a bit updating. The garden and view was as natural as you could get, with hummingbirds coming to feed freely around the varander, bliss !! Thankyou to all the staff who made our stay so special.

l'emplacement de l'hôtel est paradisiaque avec une vue pour petit déjeuner ou déjeuner fantastique ! Idéalement situé pour visiter le sud de l'île et avoir facilement accès aux activités à proximité. La propriétaire de l'hôtel est adorable et n'hésite pas à nous donner des conseils pour nos visites. Le petit déjeuner est bon et varié selon ce que l'on choisit chaque jour. It's a gem with a fabulous view!

So happy to have stayed at the Hummingbird Resort! The VIEW is just stunning, food was local and excellent, breakfast was always good, service friendly, room was nice size with comfortable bed, beach was adequate with Dive Shop and fabulous snorkeling right there, short walk into town, and so many hummingbirds to watch while dining. If you are looking for a Hilton, go somewhere else. This was just a gem in my book though. Would plan to stay there again.
