"Spotless room. Spacious bathroom with good shower head. Lots of fluffy towels and washcloths. Super comfy bed with very nice soft linens. The hallways are bright and the whole facility is inviting with the open feeling, large and comfortable seating in the reception area and breakfast area. Staff on check in and check out, including housekeeper were friendly and professional."

"Our suite was great for us. It was comfortable and well appointed. The weather was wet and rainy so we really enjoyed the gas fireplace. One suggestion would be to put a lamp in the sitting area. For people with "old eyes" it was hard to read printed material on the couch."

"We had a lovely time staying at the property. There was so much character in this beautiful, old home. Each bedroom was spacious and the bathrooms were recently renovated. There was lots of social spaces and we really enjoyed sitting on the deck looking at the stars. The check-in and our processes were easy and we loved that there were so many little touches that made the stat super notable, like coffee, sugar, condiments and laundry soap. We would absolutely stay here again. "

"Quiet & Private: Ideal location for exploring Ottawa ON (try Union Street Kitchen's croissants before a guided tour of Rideau Hall). Also, just a short drive & quick border-crossing to the Frederick Remington Museum (western art & sculpture) in Ogdensburg NY. Local recommendations include the lamb rosemary meat pies made at B&H Grocery and the Tip-to-Tip trail, an easy 3-mile canal hike in Burritt’s Rapids.
