We were on 11th floor and we could hear things plain as day on the ground floor... the view was amazing tho

We were told at the front desk they were renovating. Ok…the room was freshly painted and smelled. The phone didn’t work, the clock didn’t work, the plate in the microwave was broken in half, only 2 small pillows on the bed and there was black mold on the ceiling of the shower. My husband went down to the front desk in the morning to complain about all the things not working in the room and the black mold. He was yelled at by the manager and said there would be no refund or reduction in price because we stayed there. At 9:00 pm what do we do? If we canceled the reservation at the last minute we’re still charged. We have stayed in this motel many times. The last time was in May. I don’t know what happened here but we won’t be back even with the new name. Unfortunately the rude manager will probably still be there.

I genuinely cannot understand how this hotel could possibly have a good review. Our experience was absolutely unacceptable from start to finish. Our first room was infested with ants on the bed, window, curtains, and bathroom. After returning from my grandma’s funeral, we discovered the A/C had made our clothes, luggage, and bedding damp and wet. We were asked if we wanted to switch rooms. The second room was somehow barely better. Despite being labeled “non-smoking,” it reeked of cigarette smoke, had ants in the bathroom, and the security lock on the door was ripped off. That is not a minor inconvenience it is a serious safety concern. The room phone didn’t work either, even though the front desk specifically told us to call them after moving. We also found a WIG behind the TV in the 1st room, and filthy carpet, apparent water damage, stains and bubbling walls, and cracked sheetrock literally falling from the ceiling in the 2nd room. At that point, it was obvious this property has serious cleanliness and maintenance problems. The breakfast was equally disappointing. The cinnamon roll waffle was the only thing worth mentioning. For $238 for TWO nights, this was beyond unacceptable. We paid for a hotel room, not an obstacle course of ants, cigarette smoke, broken safety equipment, dirty carpets, and neglected maintenance. This hotel failed miserably on cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and basic hospitality. We will NEVER return and absolutely cannot recommend it. 1 star hotel
