Spruce Pine Vacations from $756

This one is all about pros & cons. *Pros: spacious townhouse, great amenities(multiple pools- indoor & outdoor, lazy river, hot tub, beach, sporting areas, putting greens, activities etc), restaurants "on site"/ within 5 min drive, very beautiful setting, great price. *Cons: complicated check in process after 5p, check in was 10 min away from property by car which is several miles away & it was complicated trying to find out unit- especially in the dark, townhouse was very outdated & worn, we had a giant roach("palmetto bug" 2-3" long) in our room upon entry & front desk seemed unphased but said they could send someone to spray if we saw more, amenities cost extra ($6.50/ per person per day & you must pay that amount for each day of your stay!)& take several minutes to drive to, there are bears that wander the property & you must be careful if walking anywhere, you are the expected to clean up /take out garbage & put all sheets & towels in bag etc. Though feeling a little like we dealt with some "false advertising " in certain ways, it was still a nice overall time once we got past a few things.

Room was nice but AC didn’t work well and the noise from the street was very loud. Staff and amenities were excellent

Such a charming retreat steps away from all that downtown has to offer! Walkable to all our favorite spots, we enjoyed the plush, spacious suite and the charming staff at the desk and bar. Comfortable room for sleeping, large bathroom well stocked with towels, a quiet place to sit outside for the afternoon, chess and coffee in the evening, a lovely spread for breakfast—we wanted for nothing! A delightful spot to stay. We will return!
