“Great location and decor for the room. Shower was a 10/10. Bed comfort a 5/10. Hard mattress and hard pillows. All else great. ”

“All the staff were very friendly and everywhere was clean and tidy. If you were later than 09.00 am for breakfast, the choice was not so good than if you had turned up earlier, that was our feeling. The Saturday evening meal was not totally satisfactory because there was not enough staff and we booked a table at 20.30 but did not eat until 21.45. The server did his best but was over powered with the demands of trying to keep up with the orders. Maybe the kitchen staff were understaffed as……

“Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were given a lovely quiet room which was very clean and comfortable. There are plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and of course Cardiff castle nearby.”

“Lovely breakfast in a pleasant environment with a friendly chef and waitresses. My room was very clean and airy. The only downside it was above the bar so I could hear the music. The hotel has a lovely aroma as you enter and the ambience enhanced with a beautiful floral display. Sunday lunch at the Blok dining room was delicious. I have enjoyed staying here twice and would not hesitate to return or recommend”
