We absolutely loved St Lucia! And the resort wasn't horrible but there's definitely better- we made a mistake choosing to be close to the airport as we still had to travel up north to see all the beautiful scenery and transportation costs were high. If you plan to stay at the resort your whole trip, just know it's overrated. The Sargassum was everywhere and smelly so you had no access to the water or a nice beach. You're stuck at the pools they have or hot tub that barely works. And the weather is nicer up north, where the water is calmer. The staff is great and very friendly (excluding 1 or 2 people at the front) but we were confused how reviews about the food was so positive. We tried almost everything and, in our opinion, hated everything, EXECPT the jerk chicken. Anything even basic was either cold or nasty, and I'm NOT a picky eater. If FIFA wasn't happening, then we would've been even more bored, as many things close early. They take away the games at 7?? Room is basic, to me it looks like a normal hotel room anywhere and it could've been cleaner.
