WE ARE BACK ON VRBO! After a break to just enjoy our home and after discovering that although it showed my house active on VRBO, it was not being shown as available, we are back in business.

Escape to your happy place at this quintessential beach cottage. Built in 1923, this gem was recently completely renovated with high end touches while still maintaining its old world charm. This is our second home and not just some corporate vacation rental property. We pride ourselves in making this feel llike a second home to our guests as well. All new luxury linens, bedding and towels. Master bedroom has a queen bed with private master bath equipped with a shower and luxurious claw foot soaker tub. Second bedroom has 2 twin beds. The main living area and master bedroom both have brand new 40 inch 4K smart tvs. The separate den has a brand new queen top of the line Lazyboy sleeper sofa as well as a 60 inch plasma fire stick tv with blue ray. There is a door to the den so this area is like a 3rd bedroom. House has WiFi.. The bright, well equipped kitchen will meet all your cooking needs. For those who prefer to spend their time outside, this house has it all. Escape to the screened in porch to read, take a nap or watch TV on the large plasma fire TV. Please note that the smart and fire tvs allow you to utilize your own streaming services during your stay.

The private fenced back yard has a bar area and grill for your cookout, or stroll over to the cushioned Adirondack chairs and large table and umbrella on the side private deck equipped with a giant fan for some socializing. Twinkle lights streak across the back yard to set the mood. Laundry room has washer and dryer.

If you ever decide to leave the house, the beach access is a mere 2/10ths of a mile away, and the Pier and Village (shopping and restaurants) is a short walk or bike ride.

Great cottage in a great neighborhood
A charming and comfortable small beach house with a great screened porch where we spent most of our time when we were not walking around town or at the beach just a sort walk away.

Cozy Cottage on Relaxing Island
Seas the Day might be the first rental we've used that looked better in person than the pictures suggested. The cottage was warm and inviting. It was a great home base while we explored St. Simon's Island. We loved the beaches, the atmosphere, and the low key vibe

Good kitchen with adequate supply of cookware. Only things we could not find were a cutting board or placemats. Nice bathrooms with plenty of towels. We loved the screened-in porch. A handrail on the front steps (and interior steps) would be helpful for mobility-challenged guests. Great location!

The perfect SSI gem!!!
This was our second stay here- we fell in love with it last year and knew that we wanted to come back! The location is perfect-super close to shops and restaurants, as well as the beach. The house itself is immaculate- has absolutely everything you could need during your stay. Slept myself and I, my two college kids, a 12 year old and a 17 year old perfectly. We will definitely be back next year! Sandy is the absolute best host!!!

What a beautiful house
From the moment we arrived, we instantly loved the house. It was as beautiful as the pictures showcased, and it was spacious enough for our family of 6. We loved how close the house was to the beach (not right on the beach but just the right distance away for a nice walk), and if we wanted to try some of the local cuisine, we could either walk or drive 5 minutes down the road. I'm happy to say that we've found exactly the type of vacation destination experience we were looking for and would definitely recommend this rental to a friend (in fact we already have!)

Perfect Location and SSI Beach Cottage Vibe!
My husband and I came for a romantic New Year's getaway, and this house was perfect. The location can't be beat -- we walked to the beach and biked to shops and restaurants in the Village. And the house is SUPER cute! It's decorated beautifully - the pictures tell the story. It got unusually cold, so we cuddled up in the house to watch football (all the ESPN channels!). The house lives really large, with 3 separate common living areas and a great outdoor space complete with fire pit and twinkle lights. We're coming back with our kiddos!

Absolutely perfect!
Everything about the property was perfect! It is located in a very convenient location, within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. The beach is just a short walk as well. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe- my 17 y/o son ran in the neighborhood each morning and night and felt perfectly safe. The cottage itself is absolutely adorable! The kitchen had all the items we needed for the light cooking that we did. The extra den was nice for the older kids to hang out to watch tv. I would most definitely recommend this property, and will definitely be returning!!! You could not ask for better hosts!!!

An ideal house for the things we want to do on vacation. Lives bigger than it size!!
Our family could not have been happier with Seas the Day. The house is full of outdoor living spaces - decks (with fans, shade, grills, fridges), a screen porch (HUGE with a TV), and a really nice yard (privacy, lights at night, bird houses). Inside it is very well appointed with a lot of attention to little details -- like a place to charge your phone next to the bed. Furnishings are super cute, appliances and kitchen well appointed, technology there in plenty. The owner was very easy to work with and went out of her way to give us "inside" info on the area, things to do, places to eat, etc. We will be back. Almost perfect!!

Fairytale cottage
When we arrived at the cottage we were totally amazed at how lovely and cute this cottage really was. We have traveled to many different places throughout the United States and we both agreed that this is the sweetest cottage we ever vacationed at. The cottage is very tastefully decorated , clean and comfortable. There are several restaurants and shops nearby and many beautiful places to explore within close driving distance. The people in St. Simons were just fantastic. Good ole southern hospitality ! And Sandy was absolutely wonderful!!! She helped us with every question we had and was very sincere in trying to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We highly recommend this rental for anyone visiting St Simons!!!

Amazing oasis!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. It is wonderfully appointed, with unique touches throughout the home. Our family of five stayed for four nights and wish we were staying the entire summer. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, even the pullout couch! There are so many sitting areas around both inside and out that you never feel crowded. And the screened porch, well, I don’t even know what to say about that. Amazing. Easy walk to the beach. We didn’t try to walk to the village but never had difficulty finding parking. This place is truly a gem. Thank you for opening your home to those of us lucky enough to experience its magic.

Best SSI Vacation Spot!
My family has gone to SSI for almost a decade now. Seas the Day is the best vacation cottage we’ve stayed at today. It’s convenient to the beach, restaurants and Pier Village. We were able to walk to the beach and to dinners. The cottage is beautifully decorated with a beautiful screened in porch and outdoor amenities in the backyard. We enjoyed a family night grilling and playing games out back for the 4th of July and walking down to the beach to see some fireworks. It’s also a wonderful location for anyone looking to rent a golf cart during your stay. You’ll never need to drive anywhere upon arrival! Sandy was amazing and kept in great communication on any questions we had. We were honored to be able to stay at Seas the Day and we are already planning another trip to stay here. It will be hard to stay anywhere else now that we’ve been spoiled here!

Luxury "Spa Cottage "Retreat
We travel often and are VERY particular about where we stay when it comes to cleanliness, updates and location. This beautifully decorated, roomy, yet cozy, spotlessly clean "spa cottage" surpassed expectations. It is apparent that this is not just a rental property, but truly a "home" as it has all the charm and modern comforts one could ask for. Just a short walk to the beach and short walk or drive to many great both casual & upscale cocktail, dining and shopping offerings found on this very special island. My husband & I wish to thank Sandy & Gib for being such organized, kind and welcoming hosts. I have 2 sisters & am thinking that SEAS THE DAY would be THE MOST perfect place for a multi night upscale "girls" getaway.... so hope to return again to SSI ASAP!! Bonnie & Michael

Delightful Week at "Seas the Day" on St. Simons Island
This was our first visit to St. Simons Island and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was very cooperative and flexible in changing our dates when our departure date was delayed due to a snowstorm. The cottage is situated in an older, established neighborhood within walking distance of the village area and beach. The home is spacious and very well equipped, including a modern kitchen. There is a screen porch and outside patio which are enjoyable for cooking out or enjoying cocktails in the evening. We took a trolley tour of the island on our first day and would recommend that as a good way to see the island and get an overview of shopping, restaurants and historic sites. The Island Visitor Center in the village is also very helpful. We had excellent meals every day, with some highlights being Halyard's, Tramici, Palmer Village Cafe, and Southern Soul Barbecue. We would definitely recommend this cottage for an enjoyable stay on St. Simons Island!

Wonderful stay! Book without hesitation!
I hesitate to write a positive review for this darling cottage, not because it wasn’t wonderful but because we selfishly want to keep it a secret! As cute as the pictures are, they really do not do this home justice. It is one of those properties that is even better in person than in photos. Great use of space – home feels much larger than it is. Two good size bedrooms and a full extra den with a sleeper sofa that can be completely shut off with a door to make another bedroom. Owners were wonderful – super responsive and checked in with us to make sure everything was ok (it was better than ok…it was great!) Well stocked kitchen with lots of baking pans and pots and a few condiments. VERY clean and owner has thought of little details like coasters everywhere, dark wash cloths for makeup removal and extension cords by the bed for phone plug in. Neighborhood is ideal for St. Simons. Less than a 5 minute walk to beach and Crab Trap/Crab Daddies/Beachcomber area and a short bike ride or 10-15 minute walk to pier area shopping and dining. Shaded street which is perfect for bike riding or golf carts. Outdoor showers to remove dirt and sand and great outdoor seating. Also a nice screened in back patio with a ceiling fan for reading and socializing. In summary, we loved it and hope everyone else doesn’t find out about it! Would recommend highly and without hesitation. We have stayed on St. Simons Island for more than 30 years and this is one of our favorites yet.

Quaint Getaway!
What a darling cottage, comfortably shique! The decor down to the rugs in every room were just darling. A bright q cozy place to relax. Very clean! That’s important to me! The kitchen had everything we needed. I brought my home waffle maker but I saw one in the cabinet. The screened porch with the tv was our teens favorite place! The walk to beach is simple and quick! This portion of the beach is so much nicer than East Beach (a lot less crowded). And it’s a slightly longer but pleasant walk to town. Our kids got bikes for one day and really enjoyed that! We loved Southern Soul which we saw on Food Network! It was superb! My husband and I got the kids pizza one night and snuck off to Half Shell for oysters and drinks. Excellent fresh oysters! I found driving slightly further to Harris Teeter for groceries worked for me. We have recently frequented Amelia Island and Hilton Head! St. Simmons is so much better when you can walk to the beach and town! We will be back and we will rent Seas the Day again (unless we get our own place in this little piece of Paradise)! And I goofed and booked wrong days. I called Sandy as the days I actually wanted were available and she fixed it right away for me! She’s so kind and easy to deal with! Book this now! You will not regret it! A vacation where sweet memories are made!

Pleasantly surprised!
Beautiful home away from home! Not just any rental. Comfortable living spaces, beautifully decorated, pictures online don’t do it justice. Had everything we needed. Located on a perfect, quiet street. Great beach access. A true gem on SSI. Look forward to our return.

Another great stay!
We returned to this great house this year and it did not disappoint. The house is great for a small family with plenty of space all around. It’s two blocks to the beach and not far from several restaurants (on foot) and downtown (short car ride or 25 minute walk). My only comment would be to add some curtains so the kids don’t wake up at 6 AM in summer…

A nice getaway retreat
My mom and I celebrated our milestone birthdays by taking a trip to St. Simons Island, GA, to relax, unwind from our busy lives, and take in the sites. Why St. Simons? Well, when we booked it a year or so ago, we were in the middle of Covid and couldn't go anywhere else outside the U.S. without selling our souls so we picked somewhere we had never been. It was incredibly beautiful, peaceful but oh so humid, which we expected. The house is a short 20 minute drive from Brunswick airport and we found it with ease after arriving on the island late. While unpacking the car when we arrived, I heard my mom yell out from inside the house. Upon turning on the light in the kitchen, roaches were seen scattering about. Let me first say that the house is impeccably clean and beautifully decorated so we knew this was a fluke but still....we were unnerved and a bit worried about the house we chose for the week. I immediately messaged the owner who got back to me just as soon as I sent the message, and said she had never had a complaint like mine before but suspected the infestation was from the recent heavy rains. I agreed. The owner had the kitchen sprayed the very next day. In the meantime, we found roach spray under the sink and sprayed down the entire kitchen, scooped up the dead bugs and tossed them in the trash. We wiped down the kitchen and cleaned up. After that, we never saw another bug again. The only other issue we had was not being able to utilize the backyard the last two days of our trip due to flooding. One night of heavy rains caused the backyard to flood (ankle deep) and standing water remained for two days as it didn't appear to have anywhere to go. I felt bad about notifying the owner again because I don't like to complaint, however, bugs and standing water are legitimate complaint and if it were my house I was renting, I'd want to know. I am not unfamiliar with rain as we endure monsoons every summer from June to September and standing water can cause a ton of damage to a home. Other than that, the house is perfectly comfortable. It has A/C and all the comforts of home. The furnishings are lovely and you can tell a lot of thought went in to the detailing of the house. Thank you to the owners! We did enjoy our stay.

Great cosy house

This house is perfection
I can’t say enough great things about this house and it’s location, especially with young children! The back and front yard are completely fenced in and I was able to let my kids play outside without worrying about them going too far. The “extra” third bedroom worked out great when my kids kept waking each other up and I ended up being able to give them each their own space. The queen bed was SO comfortable. Maybe the most comfortable bed we’ve ever stayed in at a rental. Location was amazing, we ended up renting bikes from a local company with a trailer for our kids to ride in and we never had to bike farther than 7 minutes. The beach was maybe a 2 minute bike ride and the kids loved it. wonderful stay we hope to come again.

Perfect vacation!
First time at St Simons island absolutely love it and the cottage was perfect for our family! Very clean, so cute and very roomy perfect area close to everything. We rented a golf cart was perfect. Sandy was so kind will definitely go back ❤️
