This wonderful little Village was evacuated during the war when it was decided the whole Valley was needed for extra space to do Military training. The evacuations started in 1943. The whole experience was wonderful. The pool, although cold was well used, followed by a dip in the hot tub. The little private pub was a hit, along with the games room. A beautiful venue for special ocasions. Comfortable rooms, lovely grounds and helpful hosts. Altogether amazing.
