“I made reservations for two "Standard Apartment (Smart Piscina)" rooms for my family (5 people). At check in they provided what it looked like regular documents with several parragraphs in three languages and they made me sign a couple of them in portuguese as check in staff didnt speak other language so I believed was not an issue having myself stayed in different countries and hotels where had faced the same situation (never had a problem). In the process it was never explained anything……

“Do not book with this company. It’s a bait and switch scam. They wanted me to pay again when I arrived at the lobby’s reception even though I had already paid via expedia because they claimed that what I paid was a deposit. The listing made no mention of this nor any of the emails I received. I decided to cancel rather than pay anything else to these thieves, and was told I would be reimbursed the full amount of the reservation. It’s been over 24 hrs now and after contacting expedia, I received……

“Estadia maravilhosa. Quarto limpo e aconchegante. Café da manhã bem servido e com bastante opções. Destaco o atendimento de toda a equipe, sempre muito simpáticos e solícitos, nos permitiram fazer o check-in mais cedo e o check-out mais tarde, sem cobrar valor extra. Se tiver que pontuar algo, seria apenas sobre não ter onde pendurar as toalhas no quarto, nem roupas molhadas. O mascote Kaleo é uma fofura, nos recebeu na entrada na nossa chegada e nos deixou na porta na saída. Eu e meu marido……

“This is a nice hotel and all rooms above ground floor have lovely ocean views. We do find that hotels in Brasil are expensive for what you get with facilities. Small things broken in the room and public areas. For this sort of money you expect a bit better. Also for an adults only hotel, some staff and policies were more aimed at children. For example, being told where and when you could fill your water bottle for the day, and where and when you couldn't. It's not a big thing to manage.”

“A experiência na pousada foi razoável. Os funcionários foram solícitos e educados, sempre dispostos a ajudar, o que foi um ponto positivo da estadia. No entanto, alguns aspectos comprometeram o conforto. A TV do quarto não funcionou durante o período, o ar-condicionado apresentava um odor desagradável e a limpeza, embora aceitável, poderia ser melhor. Além disso, o colchão aparentava estar bastante desgastado, o que afetou a qualidade do descanso. Com alguns ajustes na manutenção e na estrutura……

“Issue #1 - The first room they provided had zero view of pool, ocean or even a coconut tree … our view was the side of the adjacent building and the parking van lot in the building furthest away from pool and beach … they did relocate us to a ocean view room in the building closest tot the beach which we appreciated. Issue #2 - the room key access panel had issues … we had to “recharge” the room key 7 times in the first 2 of 3 days of our stay … they eventually replaced the door lock at the end……

“Summary: Good location, great staff, good value. Pros: Good location close to the beach and 30 minute walk to grocery shopping and restaurants. Good breakfast. Cheaper than most. Great service overall. Renato at the front desk speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Very helpful. Room A/C works but will take some time initially. Cons: Room is small. 2 people max. Bed is hard. Thin mattress. Water in toilet is light brown. Maybe rust. I didn't drink the tap water. Dinner in restaurant was……
