Access to hotel entry was difficult with big step up and large suitcase. Charming building yet renovation lacked good design/very poor layout with too much furniture in both restaurant and lobby seating area. Upstairs hallways were noisy with glass doors and should have been fully carpeted. Rooms lacked warmth with no curtains (just pull-down shades), one tiny decor pillow (no throw blanket as pictured) so privacy was challenging too unless shades completely pulled down. Sorely needed was some comfortable and adequate scale lounge seating to read or watch tv aside from laying on the bed. Also needed was a proper desk chair rather than a little stool. All in all, finishes, lighting, layout and furniture needed revamped attention especially for the price of the hotel. Staff on the other hand was great although light and understaffed in the restaurant. I would not stay there again.
