Step inside and it softens—gardens, quiet corners, a pause from the street. Rooms are simple, spacious, and comfortable. The staff moves with quiet efficiency, arranging what you need before you ask—like our transfer to Lake Atitlán, handled with ease. In the days before Semana Santa, the city hums a little longer. By ten, it begins to fade; and sometimes, in the quiet hours, distant bells would wake us—we’d count the rings, then slip back into sleep. A stay defined not by excess, but by balance—location, calm, and the feeling of being exactly where you should be."

"Room was okay, the place is beautiful; Antigua is magical and the hotel is nice and beautiful everywhere you go. The issue is service needs work. I was asked to leave my ID for a lent umbrella, leaving me with no ID in case police stops me, I’m paying well over two hundred per night and they don’t trust me with my umbrella? Could ask me to leave my room key so I don’t forget the umbrella or even make me sign a “loose it and pay for it ticket” ; but requiring me leave my ID was a discomfort. I think the staff is polite, but need some service training, I asked for tips on restaurants, favorite ruins within the city to visit, areas to walk to; all with multiple staff members and answers were always lukewarm “it’s all good” “anywhere is fine. "

"I would have given this place 5 stars except that they have a mouthy guy at the gate who didn't want to let me leave the property after I checked out unless and until I followed whatever strict ticket scanning protocol he had made up that day. He could have just pushed a button and lifted the gate after a quick radio call to the front desk to make sure I was on the up-and-up, but he decided instead to lord over his parking domain like a petty little tyrant. He lost them a star. Aside from that the place is almost perfect. There were some weird stains on the bedspread (come on, we all know what it was) and I didn't need to see that. Get rid of the gate guy and change out the bedspreads and you have a perfect hotel."
