"Unique experience & location, photos on listing tell the story. Paved roads, driveway & parking graveled, no mud on rainy day. Excellent communication from the host. Perfect location for bicycle trips north & south on Standing Bear Trail. Sturdy tiny house cabin like camping in woods in a motor home with large deck. Generator for electricity, propane for heat, but running water & real flush toilet. Watch out for front door step, unusually tall, would not meet code in the city. Part of the rustic charm? Challenge for old couple in their 70s. Loft has minimal ceiling clearance, for kids or small, agile young adults only. Was not made up, bare mattress, linens stuffed in bags, appears little-used. Cooking can only be done on nice propane grill on deck. Three minute drive to Barneston, where historic Grand Avenue had a makeover into bar / convenience store, sandwiches & pizza every day. Recommended, look forward to next visit."

"I realize the property is going through some renovation. That said, the room was very clean and comfortable. There was a breakfast buffet in the mornings. The staff (manager) was courteous and pleasant. This is a comfortable, minimal frills motel, with restaurants located in the same area. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. Corn Crib Cottage is unique and lovely. It is well represented in the photos. The fishing wasn’t great, but maybe that was our lack of skills. Ha! Perhaps we will go back in the spring before it gets mossy, or take a kayak out instead of fishing from the shore. Being able to have our fur baby with us was a bonus. It was a fun micro vacation "

"We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay with our large group of 15 for our son’s wedding at Seven Willows just 20 minutes away. With ample food and drink storage with 2 full fridges and and a kitchen that had everything we needed to prepare and serve for a crowd with an array of spices cooking oil sugar and coffee available. We enjoyed the deck with the beautiful shady tree with so many birds to watch, and hot tub as well as the beautiful sunrises and sunsets to start and end our day. The gym/court was a hit with the younger crowd -so much fun. The large dining table was great for a sit down meal together. Our Host Devon was so accessible and quickly responded to any questions. We’re hoping to stay again at “our” Barn when we return to visit family and friends. This place gets 10 out of 5 stars! "

The property is quiet enough for adults in the evening and entertaining enough for the kids during the day. The family Lake day (weekend) was an absolute success!
